    Good player, I'd defo take him here.

    We should also look at Duje Čop from Zagreb, had a couple of decent enough loan spells in Serie A with Cagliari and La Liga with Malaga, would be a good backup striker option and probably wouldn't cost too much.

    In most cases it is. That's why you pay a higher price. For the ability. Obviously there's going to be exceptions where this isn't the case. But most cases people pay more for less ability? What would you say is directly linked to cost if not ability?

    I never said we were signing * on purpose. Our investments have been poor, both in ability and price. We're the ones willing to pay a decent fee on inferior players.

    Bar Wanyama, how many players in the last decade have we spent more on? I'd say that £2.5m is top end for us. I can only think off of the top of my head of Brown and Fortune that we spent more on.

    What's the average price we spend on players though? Other than Ledley those three must be among the most expensive we've signed. I know in general footballing terms (or English football terms) they are cheap, relatively speaking they are probably towards the top end of what we can afford.
