Fair point but at Stoke the lad is not going to win medals, if Celtic made him a offer we could offer him european football and the chance to win medals, yes I believe coming from a team like Stoke to Celtic is improving your career

 

Fair enough. I'm not sure medals means improvement though, in reality. Down south he will be proving himself against some of the best player sin the world week in week. A far greater standard than Scottish football.

Celtic are also at a juncture where we CANNOT guarantee euro football.

 

If Given is going to moan his way into the City starting team then Joe Hart might be worth a punt on loan if they would let him go because they need to trim that squad but it is a big if I know.

Yes but Ledley has had very similar options to choose from and he opted to come up here, just shows players do still see Celtic as a huge club and quite rightly so imo.

With Sunderland having Turner, Bramble, Onuhou and now Mensah as Cb's we must be looking for a new club, he was considered a England prospect a couple of seasons ago, hasnt set Sunderland alight but could be a option maybe? Bags of epl experience? Worth a punt maye?

Pretty sure Stoke were wanting like 10-15million for Shawcross. Pity coz he is going to be a top player
