Moanes Dabour. He reminds of Higuain.

    Looks ideal for us.

Nice goal he scored last night. quick feet. If he keeps it up Basel will probably come sniffing, and maybe some German teams.

If we were to sign free agents this is how we could be set up (minus any current players except Gordon)

    Grosicki for Poland looks decent.

27 year old winger, plays for Rennes.

i would love samaras back just cause he can do something special we have virtually none of that in our squad, he was frustrating as * at times but when he was good he was great and big powerfull runner with the ball like a thoroughbred and good competition for armstrong and can play upfront and in the hole

He is a terrific outball in Europe. He was massively underrated. Not the best against SPL blanket defenses but he would improve our squad no doubt.

I'd still love us to take a punt on Yoaan Gourcuff.

We desperately need a natural number 10, IMO and he is that. Regardless of his injury problems.

Definitely. He's been stigmatised a bit throughout his career cause he never lived up to the expectations placed on him. He could be a great playmaker for us, but the board would never go for it at his age and at the wage required, even though people would turn up to watch him and he'd almost pay for himself.

He won't be short of offers anyway. If a Premier league or French team don't take a punt, somebody in the likes of Turkey or Russia probably will.

In Scottish terms Gourcuff would be a sensation here.

Champions League goals and assists aplenty, only 29 still.

Gourcouff was one of the highest paid players in the world, he'll be off to the MLS or the middle east imo.

A bit like that man in your profile pic, a real number 10.

He has still averaged a goal or assist every 3 games with all his problems, not bad. At 29 he has a good 3 or 4 years left, it could be a masterstroke, Moravcik-esque, IMO.

I say 'could' as if it's actually going to happen:56:

When he first signed for Lyon 5 year ago his wage was substantial aye, but I read a while back that he agreed to a pay cut after all his injury problems.

Kevin Nolan on a free. He's training with Leyton Orient at the minute. Surely he'd see us as a better option?

Rafinha from Bayern München or Rafinha from Barcelona?

As much as I'd love to see them at Celtic Park, I don't think we can attract that calibre of player, particularly after the last couple of seasons. Even if Matip were to leave Schalke, for instance, he could walk into a lower to mid-table Bundesliga or Premier League side and pick up a bigger pay-packet while he's at it - it's not what any of us would do but we have to accept that most players would rather do that than sign for Celtic on the off-chance that we make the Champions League these days.

If we want to show a bit of ambition, we should be looking to sign established players from clubs around our level: the top sides in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium...

Maybe not but I don't think he's a designated player, so he might switch for a bigger club, better wages and a crack at winning trophies and playing European football.

I'd be happy enough if we were to look at him.
