    I appreciate what your saying here but I've never understood that.
    Say we bring Halilovic in on loan, do we leave out Johansen/Armstrong?, assuming we got Halilovic just because of being in the group stages. What I mean is, I don't think Ronnie would leave out some of our current best players to just get an uber hyped guy, who might be really good but he's not our player. I think Ronnie is really confident in our ability to compete in the groups with the core we have. I am too. We're getting better all the time and the secret to doing well is getting the basics down to a fine art and being confident in our own abilities, I reckon were getting there.
    It's not like Denayer at CB which was a bit of an emergency position that needed extra quality, we have a wealth of talent in the middle, attacking mid in particular so, in a way, we don't need someone like Halilovic.

    Saying that there's the angle of bringing in quality youngsters from bigger teams and bringing them on and getting a name for doing that, but it has to be balanced with what we have/need, I reckon.
    I'm really confident with the overall squad now, only thing we desperately need is a LB imo. :50:

    Karlo Brucic left back from Lokomotive Zagreb. He's come through with a decent Croatian under 21 team and not yet been picked up by a big club.

    Think we might wait and see if we can get Barry Douglas next season.

    Another is Douglas Santos, a Brazilian under 23 player on loan in Brazil till next month, from Udinese. He's got a years deal too.
