I personally think Pukki is no a bad player, but I just don't think he will make it with us. We need a big battering ram, with Griffith the playmaker behind a big target man.

Your comment reads as being racist and anymore of it and you'll be banned. Think very carefully how you word your comments in future.

I personally think Israel is "third world" in footballing terms. Ashdod are * in my opinion, even if I don't think Ambrose is as bad as the guy is making out! :smiley-laughing002:

I think (and hope) he's meaning what I think he means, but just worded it badly.

We need a good development season, then we can be moving players on - not just getting our money back, but making a profit.

You could argue we've got enough strikers at the club for the next 5 years. It's a question of fitness and technique, developing that in the right environment and keeping players fit.

You could hardly argue that we don't have technically skillful players with pace already.
Height and power with 2 big strikers. Watt and Atajic bringing skill, pace and finishing as well.

Pukki, and by the sounds of it even Boerrigter, are in much higher spirits under the new manager. So again, we have to give it some time.

I mind Collins as a player, he had great fitness and technique. If he can pass that knowledge on to players like Pukki, we'll be ok.

Honestly, nobody has a clue how the season is gonna go, but from what i can see so far, we should be good enough by the time the season kicks off and right now even if we did sign someone, it would be too early to throw them into big games so early.

So we have to go with what we have and the quality we faced pre-season so far, isn't far off what we'll face in the qualifiers.

i think thats the way to go, although i would like to see us bring in a pacey wide player that can provide cover for when the inevitable happens to derk and/or forrest.

i think we will see big improvements in terms of performance from players like pukki and balde and hopefully see some of the longer serving players developing further as well as some of the young lads stepping up.

ronny and john seem to be big into developing and improving players, after a season of them working with the lads we could see some returns (financially or performance wise) that we couldnt have imagined seeing 6-12 months ago

I'm hoping for more than one speedy, highly skilled player to come. I'm greedy that way.
Not that we haven't got enough players, but if we want to go as far as we can, we'll need impact players who can cause mayhem in bigger games.

Surely young Forrest will do well under the new regime. I like the kid, he just had a bad season last time around. A lot of that was to do with injuries and also all the play going down our left hand side via Izzy and Samaras.
