He is a class player. Knows how to stick the ball in the back of the net, something we are lacking in our strikers at the moment. He has the quality to score goals in the CL and he would be a perfect lone striker in the CL for us. He is big guy, can hold the ball up well and has excellent feet.

I reckon he would leave Everton as he has fell well down the pecking order with Lukaku coming in also.

He would be perfect for us, regardless of him playing for Rangers.

I couldn't care less it's Leo Messi, if they've played for scumco, they should never wear the hoops.

So if you had the choice between a * striker and a good one who played for Rangers in the past you would opt for the * one?

I don't think there's much difference. There's no way he'd perform with the amount of pressure there'd be on him. Not that that's the main reason I'm against it. Prejudiced or not, the thought of a hun hero playing for us sends shivers down my spine.

That's also not a realistic analogy. We'd never buy a striker with the assumption that they're *, so if the question is if we have two players, one who'd played for Rangers with a high likelihood of being good, and one that hasn't played for Rangers who we know less about but looks like they could be good, I'd take the one that isn't a dirty hun!

I wouldn't take Jelavic for the simple fact his overall play is * woeful. He's only any use to teams who just hoof it up the field and hope for the best. * that, we do enough of that already. Used to annoy greatly when people compared him to Hooper. Hooper was twice the player

He's a creepy looking * too. Would only scare the young players

How can you say he wouldn't perform under the pressure? Based on what? He handled the pressure at Rangers which is no different. I wanted him at Celtic since he first played against us for Rapid and tore us apart. He is exactly the type of striker we need.

His link up play was vastly overrated. Is was kris boyd-esque.

Would also take Jelavic. The hun rage would be worth it alone :56: and he is the type of striker we need!

Playing for one and moving to another brings a whole new dimension of pressure. He'd have one * of a lot to prove to gain our support.

There's a massive amount of strikers within our price range that I'd take over Jelavic.

He easily has the ability to win over the support. I doubt it would take him very long.

I disagree. I remember when he was at Rangers and Hooper was knocking them in for us. There was never any doubt that Hooper was a better player. Far more intelligent and far better link-up play.

Anyway, it's a nonsense suggestion. He'll be further down the boards list of possibilities than Craig Brewster!

I always said Hooper was the better player but not by much. They are totally different strikers anyway. I doubt he is on the boards list of suggestions anyway, this was my suggestion of the type of player we need and should be going for.
