Marcus Tulio Tanaka , might be 29 but been very impressed with him in the 3 games ive watched him was class v England and scored , and now at the world cup he has been class could well be worth a punt ,

 

He's not bad, but I have to warn you, OG-s happen with this guy. In a defense which played some time together, though, he's pretty stable.

Think we were linked with him in the past, great pace and looks quite good technically, can also play left or right. Does like quite small though and mite be bit rough for him against some of the cloggers in spl

I've been impressed with Jay DeMerrit playing for the Usa and out of contract at the moment

 

He can potentially solve the LB issue, though he is right-footed, I think. Usually plays left for Japan. Surely gets a first team spot here.

Likewise. Some unknown players always do well at WC-s, this year it's DeMerit. Steel-solid at the back.

 

what about Claudio Morel Rodriguez hez a bit old but on a free transfer n looks a better left back than any we've had for the last couple of seasons

 

Hassan Yebda

After watching the first 9 days of action at the World Cup i think Hassan Yebda would be an inspired buy from Portsmouth, he would be well within our price range and his ability and physical presence would make him absolute stand-out in the SPL. By attracting a player of his defensive nature it would really free up Ki to express himself going forward!
