I think the Club should do another Greatest 11 but from pre-60s as all the Greatest 11 are from the 60s onwards and how can you do a Greatest 11 when there will be Celtic teams in 100 years aswell? Should do one every 50 years from the last one with only players from those 50 years.

    So

    1888-1960

    Shaw
    McNair MacDonald Evans Haughney
    Gallacher Collins Tully
    Quinn McGrory McMahon

    1960-2010

    Simpson
    McGrain McNeill Gemmell
    Johnstone McStay Murdoch Auld Lennox
    Dalglish Larsson

In regards to the OP, Danny McGrain simply has to feature in any of these lists proclaiming the greatest Celtic players ever given that he was one of the best full backs the world has ever seen.

Charlie Tully ahead of Jinky? I've never seen either play but I find that hard to believe.

These are just players I've seen play. I will more than likely forget a few obvious ones.

Henrik Larsson, Beram Kayal, Chris Sutton, Stiliyan Petrov, Artur Boruc, Shunsuke Nakamura, Bobo Balde, Aiden McGeady, Scott McDonald, Neil Lennon. No particular order.

I'd just like to point out that Tommy Gemmell features twice: one for each European Cup Final goal. :56:

Aye Don, I really quoted Caddete. Have saw a lot of strikers in my time watching Celtic, from Stevie Chalmers, Willie Wallace, Joe McBride, right through to Hooper etc. Caddete's flair along with Larsson's flair, their combined nose for goals would be untouchable. Deffo thought Jorge was a belter of a striker, just sorry we never saw enough of him :50:

I thought he was a good striker, just surprised anyone would have him over the likes of Dalgleish, Sutton, Hartson, McClair and the ones you have mentioned there :50:

I was about to back you up until i seen the players you have seen in a Celtic jersey.(Cadete has a case for being included from 90s onwards)

You never even mentioned Dalglish? Cadete was a great finisher but Dalglish was that and so much more, plus he actually succeeded in a Celtic jersey.

If I had seen King Kenny in the flesh he would be top four on any of my lists going by footage I have seen and from stories I have heard.

Thats why I said I'd saw loads of Celtic strikers, which included Kenny and others, but still its all down to personal choice, not saying the others were crap or that, just that I thought Caddete was an exceptionally classy striker.
