because one goal against barca is better than 2,3,4 seasons of 20+.:97:

No official announcement but seems like it will.

Sky sources understand Celtic striker Tony Watt is in Belgium to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with Standard Liege.

His career at Celtic has been all downhill since the Barca goal.

Sadly went to his head, like many feared it would.

Agreed. I love big Fraser and all, but I don't watch Celtic for the goalkeeping.

Unless we make some moves this summer, this'll be another season I tune out what is going on and try not to fall asleep watching us.

I think he is potentially better than stokes because he has pace which stokes doesnt have, dont get me wrong I think stokes is good at spl level but lacks a bit of speed at euro level.

    Agree ,

Just feel bad selling "one of our own" who imo could've became our and Scotland best striker

Such a shame all round what's happened to him. Sadly his goal against Barca was the worst possible thing to happen to him. If Hooper hadn't been injured that game Tony probably never would have made the bench let alone played and scored.

Despite all his attitude problems, poor discipline, and lack of effort in training, Tony impressed me pretty much every time I saw him in a match and showed great energy, strength, pace and finishing. I have no doubt that if he were to knuckle down and was given a run in the first team (20 starts at least) he would become our best striker, not just a promising youngster.

Alas that's not going to happen and he's destined to fail, like every other good young Celtic striker before him. * hates Lennoxtown.

What happens if we don't sign anyone but Ronny has us banging in the goals? :43:

What you going to do then? :39:

Fair enough. Potentially better is right but nowhere near better at the moment.

Potentially better wins you * all.
Watt has not even got to splplf level yet never mind euro level.
He has not just got here,he has been around a while and knows what to expect at celtic and what celtic expect but for some reason he has been unable to get to where he needs to be.

I'll be sad if he does go, he has a lot of potential to be a very good player. Whatever happens he'll always be remembered for scoring literally one of the most important goals in Celtic history.
