A few people on here seem to think we have a prodigal son returning. Really don't see what evidence there is to support this.

That's a crazy thing to say, you seriously underrate Stokes, yet he has consistently scored and assisted over a number of seasons. If you actually believe what you're saying then if he had these attributes he'd have scored 40+ a season. Pace is not everything, if that was all the game was about some world class players would be duds in your book, Pirlo for starters. Stokes may not be the quickest but other departments of his game make up for it.

I'm not his biggest fan but he's not as bad as you make out. Your pinning all your hopes on Watt, a guy that has done very little in the game and in a Celtic shirt. I like him and think he has bags of ability but your relentless claim that he is 'miles ahead' of established players & already acclaiming him as some sort of messiah before he's really done anything is wearing thin.

If these qualities are the ones Ronny looks for in a player may I refer you to one Peter Kovacs.

Kevski82 it will be interesting if Tony Watt gets a look in and if he does will he grasp the chance to prove just how good he can be .
Its interesting that people seem to think they can read Deila's mind . I imagine to know what Deila is thinking would be very difficult , as so far he hasn't given anything away .

There is always the possibility that the new manager may be allowed to start off with a clean slate . I don't know if he is or not., if he is and Watt is given a chance , I just hope he can live up to the starry eyed image that some fans had .
Its funny , I was damned when I spoke the truth about him , and now I am damned when I am holding out hope for him in our new managerial regime .

I call it making a realistic point . However if it makes you happy to give it another name or interpretation, that's fine I wouldn't like you to be unhappy .

Can we change this back to 'Watt becomes of Tony?' now?

I think that Ulsterscot and FinnyBhoy are the same person. Two sides of one paranoid schizophrenic locked in a constant battle with himself - like Smeagol and Gollum.

Put it this way if we bought a 20 year old who scored 7 goals in 16 games in Belguim or whatever it was we would be all buzzing about it.

Tony Watt is going to be the best striker we've had since the days of Larsson, Sutton and Hartson.

I know that's not really saying that much but I believe Watt will prove to be an even better striker than Hooper for example, who was arguably our best since the era I mentioned outwith players brought in on loan like Robbie Keane and Craig Bellamy.

Hooper was great, but he couldn't do it against the big, big boys. The likes of Barca, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Benfica he failed to make an impact.

This is where Tony Watt comes into his own and outshines Hooper. Watt will be a very consistant goal-scorer domestically and will be a zombie skelper for years to come but when we need a striker to step up to the plate in Europe against ALL opposition even from Pot 1 in the CL it will be him that we're relying on to get us goals and he will deliver when he gets his chance under Ronny. Watt will also become no.1 Scotland striker as well scoring plenty at international level. We're lucky to have him and it's a HUGE bonus he's a massive Celtic fan which might keep him here longer.

    Keep them coming lhads.

Will be great bumpage when Watt bags plenty goals next season in the league and in the domestic cups, with a few zombie skelping goals in the cups along the way as well. Not to forget how pivotal his goals will be in securing us CL Group Stage qualification through the qualifiers when he bags a few. And of course the goals he gets against the CL teams, he will also score against whatever pot 1 team we get in the Group Stage as well.
