Valid comparison would be between the first season of Strachan and Mowbray. Strachan took the helm successfully and won his first season. Look at Mowbray. Does it seem he'll win his first season?

    This.

The only season under Gordon Strachan where I enjoyed the football was his first season in charge. The spine of that team was Balde, Lennon, Petrov and Hartson. All Martin O'Neill's players. Once that spine was dis-assembled and Strachan brought in his own replacements the football became * to watch.

Well, he's not doing a very good job of cleaning it up, is he? He's spent more than 10 million and there's hardly been an improvement from our form last season.

Completely disagree on your second point. I think Strachan's greatest successes were in 2007 and 2008 and by that point, I don't know if there was even a single survivor from O'Neill's team.

Not once did i specifically ask for a manager who plays attractive football. I wanted a manager who has the ability to win games and control games with ease like we did under O'Neil.

Gordon Strachan inherited a team with Stan Petrov, Neil Lennon, Chris Sutton, John Hartson, Bobo etc.

A far more capable team than the team Mowbray has inherited.

I give Mowbray this year as his free pass. Next season is the one that really counts for the big man for me.

This is his transitional period and I see a lot of signs of life in his team. Yes we shipped four goals at the weekend with the most inexperienced down to the bare bones defence we could've had.

We also scored four and looked dangerous going forward.

Another thing to remember is the refereeing decisions this season which have been very odd and contentious to say the least. Perfectly good goals chopped off against the Huns and Falkirk, the amount of penalty decisions that we have not had, including three against the Huns.

We can't entirely blame the ref's though, we have our faults and yes it is in defence but wait until our first choice defence comes back and we'll see how we fair.

We started with Caddis (22) with not a lot of career starts, Thompsons (18) with about the same amount of career starts as his age, Darren O'Dea (23) very raw an inexpierenced defender, Braafheid (26) who is just settling into a different country and a full different type of football than seen in Holland or the Bundesliga.

It's going to click for Mowbray as long as we support him and Keep The Faith.

He has my full backing, although I must admit it does waver, until this time next year.

    Another 18 months of Mowbray.........whit?

    Fluid playing.....?

Rome is on its way....? Just wait won't be long...any day now......... .

    Sorry but what...?

Hooiveld's injured......when he's back it will all go away?

    Dear oh dear.

Listen, I was a season holder during the JB era.....I watched the team then and I see the same issues now, a period of transition where the guy in charge has no idea what he is doing, tactically or otherwise.

This has got sweet F.A to do with being a 'part timer' or a 'moaner', it's about speaking your * mind as a loyal fan. Which I will always be, born and bred on the streets and have spent enough time listening to the huns rampage down my street after winning title after title.

Loyality does not mean you follow blindly into the abyss, we have a right to give him stick and he so far deserves it and he knows it.

Sorry but TM so far does not get my support and he will not until he proves himself capable. Until then he'll have to put up with reality...which is we are losing......badly.

When and if and maybe and just wait you'll see.

    Well so far.......I see nothing.

I see half a team on loan.

I see no experciened defender or DM who will kick people up the * when they start playing like nancy's.

I see a manager devoid of tactical ability.

I see a manager with no European experience.

    I see a 10 point lead.

Yet everything is sunshine and lollipops.......and we have a jolly wee happy ship built that will sail us all back to happy land where captain 'Mogga' will lead us ashore with silverware and champions league group football success.

Then I woke up and watched the Falkirk Hibs and Aberdeen games.

Rome?......please........Rome is nowhere near its far far away with CL football.

Those who saying 'it'll click' are doing so with blind hope rather than expectation.

There have been NO indications whatsoever that we're going to improve under Mowbray.

What will it take for the Mugga supporters to realise he's not the right man?

I think it will. We are showing signs of going forward, we've scord 8 goals in the last two games.

Against Aberdeen I lay the blame on an inexperienced defence.

Against Dunfermline if Hooiveld had never just pulled his hamstring I don't reckon they would've got the eqauliser and they had a penalty decision which to me was ludicrous.

The signs are there, sacking Mowrbay just now would be knee * and unproductive in my opinion. He has a vision, i buy into that.

It's interesting to note that this season runs a parallel with Mowbrays first season at WBA.

Yes there have. We are now scoring freely whereas a month ago we were missing sitters and struggling to score.

Perhaps you're only seeing what you want to see because you've decided Tony Mowbray 'isn't the right man'. :87:

i hate to have to hark back but before mon came in our defence was poor but he only added valgaerren and the rest were players who were already there,i know this is maybe not a fair comparisson as those players were better than what mowbray came in to,but still not overly bad players just badly under performing like the defence mon inherited were under prforming then but he galvanised them and turned them into a proper unit and none of them were his choice other than valgaerren and only mjallby remained in his defence long term. tm has just not looked as if he has any clue what his defence should be its been chopped and changed on a week to week basis even when injuries weren't a factor.

i don't think hes the man for the job, didn't think he was in the first place but when appointe he got my backing. but for the last couple of months i have been raging and demanding he be removed, that was when i believed we still had a chance this season.

now i truely believe its over and while i still dont think he will be our manager long term i will be willing to hold my hands up if he does turn it around.and i dont even mean winning the league that ship has sailed imo we just need to start showing more consistency, not lose to the huns at ipox and beat them at cp.the scottish cup is paramount know we at least have to have the last say in the season.if all this happens then i will reasses my opinion.just dont see it happening based on whats already gone.

We are in total disarray, some of the recent performances have been the worst I've seen from a Celtic team. Sure we've had injuries but so has every other team in the league.
Where is this exciting, sexy football I keep hearing about.

The reason many people aren't willing to wait, how long? 18 months for Mowbrays great plans to work is Rangers are in financial trouble.

When we were in a similiar position they took full advantage.
So apart from anything else I was really looking forward to seeing what happens to them this summer,ie.hopefully watching them squirm a bit.

8? Where did you get that from? We've scored 6 and conceded 4, hardly inspiring stuff.

We've won THREE league games out of 8 so far in 2010. Do you think that's good enough?

I don't see anything that suggests improvement, if anything it'll get worse under this clueless clown.

1st season he got to the play-off final with WBA, I'd say that's equivalent of running the Huns very close this year and not winning the league, instead we're so far behind we've began to worry about Hibs, which is shocking.

You're forgetting Bobo and Stan Varga bud.

Mjalby, Valgaeren, Varga and Bobo we're absolute rocks in MON's defence.

    MON signed both.

4-2 against Dunfermline and 4-4 against aberdeen.

No getting to the play off's coming between 3rd and 6th in the Championshiip.

I don't think that's good enough at all but i'm giving Mowbray his time as I believe he knows what he's doing and is good enough to implement it and be very succesful here at Celtic.

You're clearly forgetting about the game against Hearts midweek mate.

Personally, there just have been far too many disappointments this season and it's been the most unenjoyable one in my lifetime, and the buck stops with the manager, no-one else, I can't handle another season with this loser.
