You are re-writing history if you are suggesting things were fine when we had Caldwell and McManus as our centre halves. Our defence was suspect under Gordon Strachan as well. At one time under Strachan's management we went over a year without keeping a single clean sheet away from home. Our defence being pish isn't a creation of Tony Mowbray, it was pish long before he arrived.

Yesterday's back four had 3 reserve players in it. I'll wait till Tony Mowbray can get his first choice defence out on the park before sticking the knife in. I'd advise you to do the same.

Mowbray had the chance to punt these reserve players if he thought they aren't good enough. He didn't, which means he must've thought they can hack it. Even if they're not good, I don't get how can we concede 4? He could've substituted strikers for defenders or midfielders, but no. He didn't reshape the team, and now, the Huns have a 10 point lead again. It's not about the players, no. Mowbray can't set a defence right. He has a problem that continuously appears in whatever team he manages, and he hasn't been able to solve it. I've been against him since day one, and I know I was right. Even if we win the league by a miraculous act of *, I'll call for his resignation. Like the bunch here that always moaned about Strachan, I'll moan about Mowbray, as long as the * doesn't go.

Mate Strachen conceded 4 at Aberdeen last season? With Caldwell and McManus at the back.

I agree with samaras and fortune partnership. I would prefer to have fortune with a keane like player, obviously though keane is never going to stay! As for brown getting injured or out of form....those are what ifs! We could go on all day, unless its happening then there is no point discussing it really! browns back, playing well enough at the moment! And we have the option to buy him first! He has already said that he wants to stay so thats all down to celtic! So did Kamara when he first signed! He would be looking beyond the 6 months! And actually braffheid said if it went well for him he would stay......hes not had a glorious start dont get me wrong but i reckon he will come into a game. Although i do think bayern would be looking for too much and i dont think he will be a celtic player next season! I think kamara and n guemo will be though! We had a bad game yesterday! Well we actually didnt, our defence ruined the game for us....and i think that the defence will be the main priority in the summer! Its no secret that our defence is struggling with injuries and confidence so i think this area will be the focus come summer. If it isnt well i will be saying the same things you are now! I just think we need to give him the 18 months at least!

I don't see the Rome in a Day analogy. This was Rome and now its burning while we have our very own Nero as manager. Not concerned about results, just silky football. He took a good situation and made it worse, progressively worse.

A mistake he's not bothered to rectify all season then, which is crazy.

Well the fans of Hibs & WBA seemed to think that was the case mate, and we're seeing it first-hand here.

He did, but that was due to set pieces only. And we didn't lose every second game due to the defense under Strachan. Mowbray's Celtic has problems with both the normal game and now it seems, set pieces.

im a backer of the no rome in a day way of thinking, each time im watching a match im not sitting ready to spot errors im just trying to watch how we're playing and i know there is a complete transition of footballing mentality and week on week there is growing signs of fluid playing, when that fully clicks in we'll be laughing.

I don't remember us being a lot behind the Huns when the season ended. It can't have been that bad like you say. We're now 10 points behind them. And Strachan didn't have the backing of the board, unlike Mowbray. A lot of new players come in this January, and the * barely even uses some of them! Strachan would've caught the Huns with these players. You think Mowbray will make a team out of these players, even though no signs of improvement showed? It's not going to happen. He's officially lost more games than Strachan, seems he'll lose the title...

We never even came close to dropping points in every second away game under Strachan like we're doing now.

It was that bad. In his final 6 months we took a total of 21 points out 40 or so if I can remember right.

Yes, we did. But that's not a valid or a fair comparison. You can't use the least successful six months of Strachan's reign to compare his record to Mowbray's. If you're going to pick any random six-month period to compare the two of them, how about the six months in 2008 where he won almost every game? The only valid comparison you can make is in their overall records. And from 2005 to 2009, Strachan never came close to having as poor a record as Mowbray does.

It's valid because after that period that's when Mowbray took over. He needed to clean up the mess.

Strachan done a great job against poor opposistion but its no coincedence the further away from Saint Martin's team he got the worse the team done.
