That is such a stupid post i almost fell over with laughter, your drawing comparisons with the premier league and la liga to the spl :56:

Bottom line with the players we have we should be winning the league at a canter.

Tony Mowbray has done exactly what he did at WBA, fancey football, good to watch going forward but ultimately achieves and wins NOTHING.

I certainly dont base my reason on his previous jobs.

Mowbray wants to play football the way football should be played. He's only 2 centre halves away from having a good team. He put himself in a pickle with not bringing in another centre half in the window. Our team on paper has been the best it has been in a very long time.

People said he was left with a squad that won 3 in a row but he was left with a squad who were not getting results and not playing good football. He had to build a squad on sand foundations and he had too bring in players that would excite fans and in doing so he never brung in key positions i.e centre halves. If he doesnt bring in 2 good centre halves in the sumeer he can go but I have faith that he knows his mistake that he made and it was a very big mistake but i'm giving him a chance.

Hibs had the best set of players at the time, was no surprise they finished 3rd (Thought it was 4th but they beat Aberdeen on goal difference).

Mowbray was involved in WBA going up and down like a yoyo for several years, and had their worst season in the Premiership last year.

He's had all his defence fit several times this season, and it's still been abysmal. Our defence wasn't anywhere as bad last season, and it's no coincidence that with Mugga's history of leaking goals, that we've done the same again this season.

Is too much to ask to have a manager who knows how to win and do it playing nice football?

Why does it always have to be one or the other?

    Where do you see that??

You said people dont know football? I was showing you that a transaction period very rairly results in instant success.

To the second part. Wish it was just like football manager where you bringin in 10 of your players and they just click  Would be brilliant. Who knows why the team leading the race has been together for 2/3 season without changing and know each other inside out. I really dont get how things work

I agree.. You'll find that every forum has their right miserable * that usually only ever get into debate when they have negativity to express , and because it seems as though they are only happy when they are miserbale , they then try to get satisfaction out of making everyone else miserable too and turn every opportunity they get to post in every thread (regardless of the intended theme of the thread) as an opportunity to repeat their point over and again.. We get their message.. They don't want TM as manager , many of them never wanted him in the first place and they are not interested in trying to take any positives from any situation... When I read many of their posts it comes across that the only thing that matters to them is bragging rights over the huns and they want those bragging rights now.. It will be the same pish spouted by the same people after every single disspaointing result and if by hook or crook we do manage to start closing the gap , they'll go quiet for a bit , but all the while they'll be waiting for the first opportunity to come back on here and tell everyone how right they were , yet again..

Transition, not transaction. Two completley different things.

The problem this season has been consistency, more than anything else. Especially, consistency in team selection. The more games players play together, the better they are likely to play. Because of injuries, transfers, etc it's been nearly impossible to field a consistent squad, particularly in defence.

That's an inevitability of having to get through the transitional period in a single season. That's why we can't go 2-3 games without dropping points, most teams would struggle to do that with the selection nightmares we've faced.

If Mowbray can get a set team for next season - and he will - then performances and results will improve. This is management 101 for Christ sake, it won't give you cramp of the brain to think about it.

    drugs

U want 2 get af the drugs as well, cing things??? did u miss the last 2 seasons?? we never won last year, and it is down 2 our defence which has been bad 4 the last 3 seasons, been struggling with l/r backs and centre of defence, maybe the goal scoring is comming 2gether, but I think it is a disease or something at Celtic, keep thinking it is the other teams not playing against the huns, but even Saltcoats Vics would score against us,absolutely shcocking

I know, but I'm trying to argue that his previous achievements are vastly overrated.

We don't win the next 2 games including Ibrox then the league is over......in February. That's a sackable offence on it's own.

But your saying a team thats knowning each other for 6/7 months should be winning the league at a canter?

When in football have you ever seen a team with that amount of changes canter a league. I know for a fact that this has never ever happened.
