I take my nephews to Northampton on a Saturday if they're at home and I can assure you the league standard is absolutely pish. I would back about 90% of the teams in our league to win it or be there abouts.

 

He was poty in a league that imo is of a higher technical standard than the SPFL and League 1 though admittedly less physical and generally played at a slower pace. He didn't really fit what we needed from a DM in order to succeed here but imo wouldn't be surprised to see him work his way up a level to a decent club with a bit of re-tuning to his game.

Said it at the time, letting him go was silly, especially on a permanent, at most, should have been a loan, now there's been no one to rotate Cal with in the 6 and Cal is 32 in a few months, Iwata could have been the man to eventually step into those shoes as Cal gets phased out in the coming seasons

That's Iwata now scored against a Champions League level side tonight, screamer too, so his ceiling is clearly higher than League 1 England, too many scoffing at his goals in league 1 earlier in the season as if we play in a domestic league miles beyond that level

Brendan letting Iwata leave and his extremely limited game time (understatement) towards Nawrocki are two of his most bewildering decisions towards individual players since he returned
