I find it staggering anyone thinks that Hatate isn't nailed on to start..

Kennedy was raving about how good and fit Hatate had been on the grass for weeks before Livi, then gets picked to start on the worst pitch in the country on his first game back and sails through about 70 minutes..

There isn't a chance for me that he won't be in. Zero..

    yeah im acting feart

no doubt the midfield of mcgregor hatate oriley is our strongest midfield

am worried about scales and taylor and think iwata would help mitigate that

Could it be Callum on the bench for this coming on around 60 mins?

Huge call but I think we're stronger no matter who plays.

Yep and there’s no way O’Riley is dropped so two are nailed on. Rodgers last week basically confirmed Cal was ready for Livi had the game been on grass so I would expect him to be ready for the huns unless Rodgers was totally bluffing. That’s the only slight doubt for me McGregor or Iwata but I am 90% certain it’ll be Cal unless he tweaks something again in training

It’s about winning games. Start the best players and try kill them game as quick as you can. When your best players tire then bring on the good options off the bench.

Yeah I think palma will definitely be on the bench for it by the recent reports. I wonder if James forrest will make way. Bench: Bain, Ralston, Yang, Idah, Palma, Nawrocki, Bernardo, Iwata

Mate, he literally isn’t nailed on to start. We haven’t even heard if his body has had any reaction to his first game back never mind on a 5 a side park from the 80’s.

So if you’re wanting to put percentages on it, it’ll be closer to 50/50. He has less of a chance than Cal who we don’t even know is fit.

The reality of being away, with no home fans, to a rival led by a somewhat competent manager points to the low probability of winning quickly. The game will last 90 minutes, and probably many more when stoppage time is counted in. Rodgers should treat it as a marathon. We have the midfield options to do it, and not blow our load early by tiring McGregor and Hatate both in the face of an intense press and marking. We'll need to defend as well, and Iwata is the best in our midfield for that.

I'm kind of hoping McGregor doesn't force himself in the team, if Hatate "must play".

Yip, if Cal is fit he plays. Naturally.

Reo was fit at the start of the season and couldn’t get a game under BR. A lot of people some to have forgotten that. It’s not a shoe in that Hatate starts by a long shot.

Biggest game of the season, play the best players. They’re fit, start them. If they turn up, we win

Just once it would be nice if we start this match with the energy and technical ability we know this squad has so we can get them * rocked early doors and go into HT 2 up.

Their defence needs to be pressured in the same agressive and unforgiving way they will undoubtedly come at us with.

We can't be allowing the time to think because Maeda is probably going it alone and Rodgers doesn't want the attack pressing so hard in the final third. We need to go in and shell shock them.

Get Kuhn released and away against their LB and have Kyogo playing off Souttar or whoever is pairing with Slaphead to make his signature runs into the box and get him popping off those shots he's so good at when he's on the run into the box and just first touch shooting instinctively.

Make them fumble in defence and I genuinely believe we can make their collective rectums deviate before HT.

    4-1 to Celtic

100%. That big fat * lump Souttar was on the park for 25 mins v Netherlands and was arguably at fault for all 3 goals. He's a * donkey and that ugly, misshaped * next to him is one of the worst cbs in the league.
Add to that neither full back can defend or cope with the slightest bit of pressure as they are both bottlers.

Attack them from the start and it will be done by half time.

Their * and it's time they were exposed as such

Any other time if we had any other options he’d have been off when he got that knock 20 mins in I think. He played through it, and had a performance we’ve never seen from him. Did he not come on and score at Tynecastle earlier this season as well?

Depending on everyones fitness as well for the Hun game, having Calmac or Hatate coming on with 30 mins to go is a terrifying prospect for the Hun midfield, and such a bolstering shot in the arm for us seeing either come on. Iwata as much as I really like him is more a calming presence, that coming on is seeing a game out, but he’s a presence I love to see from the start.
