Had an absolute nightmare with Bohs second goal today. Was live on TV too.

 

Do they always have such a good turn-out? Thought the LOI was in a bad state.

 

That match aside I really don't see it with him. Lacks presence

 

Attendance wise the league is actually in a really good state. I think after covid people were starved of anything to go too which weirdly helped the league when restrictions were lifted and I think attendance figures have just gone up with each season since.

 

SUPER BOHS....

 

Not sure I'd say ABSOLUTE nightmare, as ball does move in the air after he's already moved, but it should still have been easily enough handleable with a strong punch.

 

Tha facilities with most clubs are still atrocious but the crowds since the pandemic finished have been good and getting better. The opening weekend of the new season off to a good start with good crowds at most of the games. Hopefully the increasing interest in the league in since the end of the pandemic will lead to improved facilities in future seasons which would only help sustain the progress I would think as well.
Bohemians own ground Dalymount currently is an absolute shambles itself. But finally it looks like redevelopment is around the corner with a new completely redeveloped Dalymount due to be completed by 2026 with a capacity just under 8,000.

 

Unfortunately for Toby it was not just his gaff on Bohemians second goal. His distribution in general was not very good. Certainly a disappointing debut for him as it was for the whole Cork team in front of a 7,000 full house on opening night. Bohemians almost threw it away at the end but overall fully deserved the 2-1 win.

 

My * what was he doing for that goal brutal. Actually jumps away from the ball. No movement on it either straight at him. Maybe a bit of nerves

Yeah, even from the highlights it was clear who deserved it and who was 2nd best. And you're right that Tobi did nothing to stamp any credentials, but hopefully that's a base level and he can build on it from here. He's still just a pup in goalkeeping terms

 

Sorry but that's genuinely embarrassing. Lack of progress from these youngsters in the academy is a real concern. Outside of Vata there isn't one that excites me. What the * has Tommy McIntyre's remit been all these years before he left?

That's awful, I really think that's basic stuff. Obviously keepers development often happens later but I'd be annoyed with myself if I didn't save that.

 

The big Read headed boy up front looks like he knows where the goal is.
