That’s your opinion which you’re quite entitled to, but can I ask what’s the point keeping a player on loan around when he has made his mind up he’s off anyway? And if Weah has no guarantee of a match day spot then why bother approaching the USA over a compromise?

Nah mate, sorry but I would disagree totally.
Personally I would argue Benkovic & Burke deserve more credit.
Right after the Christmas break Burkes power, pace and press was the most noticeable difference in the team.
Weah best moments were cameos off the bench against tired teams who were pretty much beaten already.

Nothing against the lad as he seems eager. His enthusiasm and brightness lifted the fans no question, even me, but I want signings of experience and proven quality. I'm fed up developing other teams players and losing them.

  3. I am unhappy with the manner of his departure. He should have left with our best wishes.

In case Édouard is unavailable for selection.

But you said he wouldn’t be part of Lennon’s plans, you can’t have it both ways which is it? And I feel this has been dealt with correctly, he was given an opportunity right or wrongly for a compromise which he turned down. So he isn’t going to be involved much more so best he goes to concentrate on playing for his country.

  5. Weah almost singlehandedly secured three points in the 2-0 victory away to St. Johnstone, with one goal and one assist in a 16-minute cameo: we secured our eighth consecutive championship last week because of that win.

The additions of Burke and Weah reinvigorated a floundering squad.

I agree that we should try to sign players on a permanent basis if possible.

We didn’t secure a league title with one game ffs, talk about hyperbole.

  7. I never said that. I said that I would hazard a guess that Lennon had no intention of playing him in the Scottish Cup final, all things being equal.

The mooted compromise was a contingency plan.

  8. Again, I never said that. I said that we secured it last week because of those three points: it is basic arithmetic.

Oh so you are surmising the same as the rest of us, I think I can see the most logical situation. Weah has chosen to go to Poland with his international squad and Lennon has told him to go just now, it is the end of the season after all.

What about all the other three points and single points? Don’t they get a mention?

More of an impact sub than a starter, looked at bit average every game he started. Might be something to do wi his age, no big loss if he's gone.

Aye it is rather laughable really, you going on as if that was the turning point of the season. All because it suits your argument.

  15. Where did I say, or suggest, that it was a turning point in our season? Are you just making stuff up to suit your argument?

Go back and read the utter pish you posted about an away win at St Johnstone, it was three points as you say. And when you add it to all the others it is the reason we won the league, but let’s not embellish things over Weah eh.

I wouldn't think so, considering Weah was scheduled to leave the club in a few weeks time anyway when his loan expired. Lennon has shown a real reluctance to use the players we have on loan anyway and that could be him trying to instill his plans in the players that will be there for sure next season.. but I don't think that necessarily means he's been told the job is his by the board.
