I'll take a quarter of that tbh even and he'd be up there with the best.

See some guy mentioning a song for him to the tune of Outkasts Hey Ya, lol, love that song.

Nice to see we're not hanging about. Hopefully he goes down in legend like our last 18 month loan.

Pity Timothy chose to be a forward.

Widely reported as 6 months. His PSG contract runs out in 18 months.

I'd be happy with this guy coming in, heard he's half decent, but I really worry about our scouting "network". We always seem to find one team or agent and just use them as almost our sole source of players for a period.

    He's very talented..

I can't see it just being a 6 month either...have to imagine we will have another clause in there.

Not disputing that. My comment was more to reflect that it is about the individual's ability than it is about the name. The name may open the door, so to speak, but it is only through talent that one can walk through it. Would love it if he does come to Celtic and can be the player we want and, for those of us old enough, to emerge from that colossal shadow, just as those you mentioned above were able to achieve.

I wish the guy well, and will support him as a Celtic player 100%, but it is the same, my comment was purely about managing expectations. Those same expectations that would need to be managed if ever Jordan Larsson or Chris McStay were to make the step up, to try and follow in the footsteps of their respective fathers in the Hoops.

Some sons manage to still have solid professional careers even if it is never able to achieve the same heights as their famed fathers did. Take Jordi Cruyff, for example, who had, by most metrics, a relatively successful career that saw him play for some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Man Utd and Barcelona as well as represent The Netherlands, but was never the equal, nor escaped the shadow, of his father's legacy.

Tbh id be happy with 6 months as long as we are working on a top perm striker. Weah would offer us something we dont really have at the moment and thats raw pace up front Eddys quick but he's not lightening, Eddy likes to move into the channels and cut in or collect it from deep positions and play forward, this * looks like he is happy to play on the shoulder and run in behind but is also happy to collect it in pockets deeper if needed, i expect similar to eddy he is going to be inconsistent but hopefully with Weah here it will give Eddy the chance play relax a little more and play his game because he will at least have someone else up top with him to pass it to.

He also allows us to play two upfront something i think we are missing at times particularly against stubborn teams and even if its just for 6 months it gives us somthing different, if its longer then great i hope it works out to the benefit of all. Cant see us getting him on a perm but we shall see.

He’s always been coy on transfers until they are done deals.

I think we need more than an 18 year old to fix our striking problems.
