Ive left a few favourites out of that side, mulgrew whilst i think he has been brilliant for us i just dont think hes good enough for europe, yes his dead balls are fantastic but there has been times when he hasnt offered much else and also alot of the time commons hits corners when chuck is on so he would be a squad player for me. Same with commons that although he has done well for us i think the spl is his limit. Ambrose i think is far better suited to midfield, i just think he hasnt got the awareness for defence and can also run into trouble and be bullied at times. Brown has had a good season but injuries are beginning to take theyre toll. Stokesy i like but lenny doesnt and i think he may be away. Forrests development seems to have stalled, next season is gonna be a big one in terms of his career at celtic i feel.
in the summer i think these people will leave:
miku- loan up, saves us 20grand a week
bangura- maybe 1m and saves us 10grand a week
mc court- 1/4m maybe and saves us 5 grand a week
wanyama- 12-15m and saves us 15 grand a week
hooper- 10-12m and saves us 15 grand a week
rogne- free saves 5 grand a week
zaluska- free saves 5 grand a week
4m saved in wages, maybe 23m from those transfers, thats 27m not to mention our champions league run. I think the time to sell is right now, this team was basically built from the money we took from the sale of aiden. Yes we'll miss wanyama and we'll certainly miss hoopers goals but there are other players out there, im sure with our scouting network we can find them. I dont want anymore squad players brought in, we have enough of them, i want players brought in who are seen as genuine first pick players. Ideally a real pacey strong centre half to go alongside kelvin wilson, a pacey, direct right winger, a real ball playing playmaker in the mould of lubo, someone who can dictate play and slow it down aswell as split defences and score goals, and a strong direct forward who knows theyre way to goal and can also hold up play and good in the air. Theres enough in the budget to secure these signings, too often we have tried to strengthen at the wrong time, lets do it now whilst were on top.

At least he's got paragraphs.:icon_mrgreen:
I agree with the 7 players that are going to move on.It's time for some of our youth to step up whilst taking in a couple more gems, maybe spend a few quid on a prolific striker, say £6mil. -

You might be right with the players leaving but i don't think we'll see that amount for Hooper. 5-6million at the most, i reckon.
-
I think the players you mentioned leaving will all go + Ambrose, Izzy and Lassad.
I doubt if we will get more than £6Million for Hooper though, he has not scored a goal in his last nine games. We definitely need a new centre back, striker and possibly left back too. -

i forgot that hoopers contract was runnin down, i think that lenny and the board decided to keep him to see how the juventus tie panned out maybe thinking that if we went through then it wouldve been justified, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
So after seeing that maybe he will go for 6m, but with wanyama going for 12-15 hopefully and those other players moved on and the champions league money sorted then id like to see 15m reinvested into the team. -

well imo thats what will be needed, i dont see why not because if wanyama goes for that price alone then the outlay is covered -

I think Bangura will be given the chance to score goals in pre season, after all there's a good player in there somewhere.
As for Izzy, he can leave- shambolic since he returned from injury a long time ago.
Next year could well be the time that other step up to the plate big time. Guys like Stokes, Kayal, Matthews, Lustig, Forrest, Wilson could all be considered major first team members. As well as that, guys like Rogic, McGeough, Fraser, Watt can replace the former list of players as being reliable back up/subs.
Only a couple of additions are needed. -
Stokes will be our main striker next season. How much would Russell from Dundee United cost? He would be good back up and sometimes a partner for Stokes. We'll get 10 million plus for Wanyama. Hooper would have went for 9 million in January he will go less than half that now. The decision to keep him was a gamble for the Juve game, that didn't work out but was worth taking I reckon.

Why cant we go out too swedish or smaller leagues and sign jelavic kind player. 4 million player but still within our wage cap. Our wage cap stop us signing real proven quality player. Surely we can take a gamble on 4 or 5 million player from these smaller country. Buy there best talents instead buying cheapiest talent

Anyway it will be more like 3 to 4 million that we'll get for Hooper now that his contract enters it's final year. -

If we're only offered 3 to 4 mill for Hooper , we should turn it down and keep him for the season. His goals could see us into the group stage again which will get us another £30M.
