Do we need a new Neil Lennon thread every week? Opinions don't change that much.

EVERY SINGLE CELTIC PLAYER LOOKS JADED AND HAS DONE FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS. Maybe retiring one of them of the back of these performances is a little premature?

time to go Neil. if you stay you are in serious danger of damaging your reputation and how you are viewed by the fans.

its a bit like out staying your welcome at a friends house

It's not like that at all! OK, let's say Sno comes in for Lennon in the starting 11 at the beginning of next season - Lennon really can't deputise away at Aberdeen should Sno take a knock? One nil up in Europe away (the day is coming!) i literally can't think of someone better to bring of the bench.

His mobility has always been poor since his back operation. Guys seem to be leaping on him now for some reason.

Personally, i think his performances are no worse than last season, and relative to the rest of the team, they are ok.

If the whole team is playing poorly, of course the defensive midfielder whose job it is to cover space and read the game is going to look a little bit worse.

Lennons negative play as been in evidence for me for a few seasons, I said along time ago before this season he would give a ball to his teammate when that player had his heels on the sideline surrounded by the opposition, Lennon is not a liability like some players have been, but he is of little value during a game in my books.
I havnt liked watching him play and as I have said before he has me shaking my head, often,
anyhoo we shall see what GS does, its up to him as far as I can see.

I agree 100% with bhoymalone and mcgrain. People won't realise the job Lenny does until he's not there.

    * nonsense Celtic have played better this season without him.
Also fans like you were fans of Douglas, Boyd, and fuckup Balde, so your post does not surprise me one bit.
Perpetuators of mediocrity, * Walter Mitty`s.

Yeah, just because he's been the first name on Strachan's team sheet and the first name on Martin's team sheet before that and they've been great managers for us, they're probably both wrong, and everyone who voted him player of the year, and all the away fans who boo him, they're just trying to help us out, encourage us to drop him. He's rubbish.

Funny that Strachan hasn't noticed Celtic's superior play when Lennon's been sidelined isn't it? Strange that isn't it. He obviously knows nothing about the game. How is it, I wonder he was able to fluke us into the second round of the Champions league and to back to back titles? With so little knowledge of the game?

And where did you get the idea I liked Douglas, Boyd and Balde? My post does not surprise you! You are jumping to conclusions about me pal and you know nothing that I think.

Guys who think Lennon isn't good enough for Celtic (and there have been plenty from day one) are generally * idiots. It's a generalisation but it's along the same line as "Italian Women can cook" in that it's almost universaly true.

The worst thing he can think to accuse you of is accusing you of liking some OK Celtic players.

Spot on. I wonder why he mentioned them 3? Probably because he's heard other people slagging them off and thought it was the right thing to do.

It's * up: even though we're the champs and Rangers are the chumps, you hear more Celtic fans slagging of their own players.

How can you make sweeping generalisations about which players any fan liked or didn't like?

I rate Lennon, but thought Douglas was one of the worst goalkeepers I've ever seen.

When Lennon goes im sure our football especially at CP will improve . He takes far too long to move the ball forwad and at CP there is no need to play with even 1 holding midfielder . My case in point is when we beat Kilmarnock 4-1 when Jarosik played in his RIGHT position the centre of the park . Lennon didnt play and we played well that day . He was a great player in his day but the legs have gone now

How have his legs having gone manifested itself this season please? And Strachan disagrees with you. He's bought Sno SPECIFICALLY to fill Lennon's boots.

Lennon is NOT a holding midfielder. I love that the guys who slag him of can't even explain what it is that he does.

The evidence is there. If you watch neil lennon in a game he is usually the worst player on the park. He make little 2 feet passes and thats all he does.

Example: Against dundee utd, naka had 2 player round him on the side line. He passes to lennon. All lennon had to do was turn. But he gave it right back to naka he had 2 player round him. Causing dundee to win posession.

The sooner he leaves the better.

THAT IS HOW HE HAS ALWAYS PLAYED.

And a major difference between Britsh football and continental football is that in Britain players never pass to marked players and on the continent they do. Check Italian football. A skill player doesn't need to be in space to recieve the ball because his teamates trust him. Naka often recieves passes when marked - probably at the managers behest - and I am all for it. Naka is ALWAYS marked. Should he never be passed to? If Naka had beaten those two players and set up a wondergoal, you'd be posting somewhere else about what a great player the Japaneese is.

He does NOT just receive these passes from Lennon.
