I think it was a positive window. I know next to nothing about Engels and Trusty so let's see how they settle in. High hopes for both. Idah gives us something different and has proven to be a big game player. Schmeichel is a top class keeper. Bernardo is a good signing and McCowan gives us some depth for SPL and cup fixtures.

We shifted loads of deadwood- Oh, Johnston, and Lawal stand out for the fees we received. Others like Haksabanovic, Lagerbielke and Iwata were never going to make it here.

At the beginning of the window we wanted a good keeper. We wanted an upgrade or more competition at left back and centre back. A replacement for O'Riley and competition for Kyogo. We have got all of that. I think we are a bit light on the wings although Maeda and Kuhn will surely be well suited to CL football.

All in all plenty to be positive and hopeful about.

Too early to say I know nothing about Engels or Trusty. Happy with the return of Idah and Bernardo. McCown will he get game time or is he in to boost Scottish player numbers?

I'm pretty happy with it, would have liked one more in the shape of a winger but hopefully we sort that in January. around a 7 or 8 out of 10 from me.

The obvious candidate for omission is Nawrocki. Yes, there are a lot of wingers, but they all play and he never does.

A factor may be also if there are any good young players at our club who could step in as a sub in a pinch, as you don't need to register them if they're club-trained and under 21.

Turned out pretty well I think.

I do think that Rodgers threw his weight about at some point to force the boards hand.

Pretty happy with the window . Another quality winger or cb would have been nice , although the window we bought barkas , ajeti , duffy and Turnbull i thought was quality and look how that turned out !

Just can’t get enough Depeche mode
Glad to see Rodgers finally getting backed & hopefully it continues.

Arne Engels is a big statement and something we’ve been desperate for the club to go for a higher calibre of “project”.

Overall pretty happy with the squad, Can see us being a surprise package in Europe this year.

Only thing is i’m a wee bit confused why we didn’t pursue other wingers once Isaksen ruled himself out? Gutted it didn’t happen as it would of been one of the few missing pieces of the puzzle we needed

    Let the people sing
I think it's down to two things
1 - We're waiting until January to see how Balikwisha does, I think we'll 100% go back in for him, or maybe go back for Isaksen if he's still on the fringes at Lazio
2 - I think we want to give both Palma and Yang until January to show that they're good enough. if not then I could see Palma leaving for good and Yang leaving on loan.

Rodgers played an absolute blinder all the way through the window - (eventually) someone prepared to be open about his concerns and apply direct pressure to our ineffective boards investment and recruitment structure.
If he doesn't do any of that, do we get Engels? I don't think so.
However, we still ended up with net profit and hopefully that's not the case in next few windows as the cash stash comes down to more sensible levels and we start to maximise sporting potential, not just financial profitability.

Hope they listen to him and restructure the the sporting and recruitment side between now and January.

Fact the cash pile is so big, it allows us to continue with this type of investment for a few seasons without guaranteed champions league football. So in turn, should guarantee a better team that then gets champions league football.

Can't grumble with money spent really. Wish most were sooner and hoped for a little more depth up top.

Surprised to read Palma's name on that list, but I could see any of the other 3 missing the cut. If I were BR, I'd be on the fence between Nawrocki and Yang. Probably leaning Nawrocki only because centre halves almost never get substituted barring injuries.
