Thinking about getting a PS3..

Because its the cheapo version of the other two. 180 quid for it now. PS3 was like 400 and odd quid when it first came out, Xbox 360 was like 389 proves it all really

Mate most of the games you just mentioned featured Mario or Zelda all nintendo characters that are well past there sell by date. Herres some PS3 and 360 games for you -

GTA IV
Oblivion
Prince Of Persia
Tomb Raider games
Fifa (an actual decent version without having to wave a stick about like a *)
Cod 4 and 5
Mass Effect 1 and 2
Assasins Creed
Fight Night games

Dont see any of them on the wii

 

The microwave outsold the 360 ang ps3 by millions, it doesn't mean you can play a game on it though.

 

nope its an RPG mate so you know * all about the games so why try and say the wii's better when clearly the wii is aimed at family games that waens that are ten sit about and play. aye GTA has run its life thats how its one of the best selling games ever and the Fifa on ps3 and 360 doesnt have you waving a stick about with your hands to get a guy that looks like a ps1 game with a massive head to run around

Its cheaper as well. Families that dont have the money aren't going to fork out much more for an xbox 360 or PS3 when you could get a wii for 180

 

The reason it didn't cut prices is because it started 200 quid cheaper, it slashed prices before it even started selling.

And profit-wise, it didn't outsell the PS3 and 360.

The wii is a novelty, my sister has one, it's nice for some family fun, but to class it as a gaming console is an insult to the PS3/360.

The Wii starting price was like 210 quid was it not ? has it ever been dearer than 360's or Ps3's ?

 

ps3 and xbox dont even have any console mascots too be by their sell by date mate

you dont wave a stick about playing fifa on the wii lol aint tombraider a multiformat game series now? most of the others are just pure dread, blood and guts bullshit for teens to slabber over graphics while the actuall gameplay blows

 

its aimed at mass market these days, nintendo just aint making spotty recluse teenage boys their priority anymore and it shows

 

aye and the wii isn't for the family to sit with over the dinner and * about how Mario is dancing about planets like a * the wii is for waens and might be good for family play but in terms of pure gaming it doesnt come close to the 360 or PS3. Ask any games expert that and you will get the same response.

So the xbox and ps3s aim at Teenage boys ? Does the wii not aim at families and young kids ?

the price has never been slashed miyamotos aim was to have a game console that was fun to play games on that everyone could afford without costing 400 quid, the main reasons the other 2 cost so much is all the * add ons, hd dvd player blue ray player etc

profit wise? last time i heard microsoft and sony were losing alot with their 2 consoles, while nintendo are making a ton

id say the ps3 and 360 are an insult to the last gen, play the games ive mentioned and youll see

The Wii unlike the Cube isn´t for young folks / families anymore. It´s for everybody (including hardcore) while the xbox and ps3 are for hardcore (well, more or less) gamers only

 

super mario bros 3 was the biggest selling game ever too and was also made into a movie, does not mean * as biffy clyro posted


its always been £179.99 only the games stores * bundles are that price its never been dearer

 

very true, especially Sony. The PS3 is a flop. Even in Japan!
