I could just as easily have said a 7 or an 8. There were times though when I needed a 5 at the 18th for my lowest round or to lower my handicap and I'd get a 6 or 7. Most annoying when you've played solid for the past three hours. I stopped playing golf many years ago and my handicap at the time was 18. Pretty sure I'd have whittled that down into the single figures if I'd kept playing.

PS. My highest break at snooker is 51.

Got a few of those Mega Drive games like Robocod, Golden Axe 2 and Mickey Mania. Modded my Mega Drive so it can take Japanese cartridges. I always preferred Street Fighter 2 on the Super Nintendo, it has a better directional pad which is better for the special moves. The Mega Drive version had better music (which is odd since the SNES has the better sound chip) but the SNES version has better sound effects. I think it's easier to put up with the poorer quality music and have the better sound effects.

Do you live in Glasgow or central Scotland? The arcade bar called Super Bario is supposed to be opening this month. It was supposed to open back in the spring but the unit they leased is in a listed building on King Street so it's taken them ages to get the planning permission they needed to start fitting it out. Among their games they say they have Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Mortal Kombat 2. I hope it opens soon so I can go get a shot of Turbo after work. I wonder how much a credit will cost? It was 30p a game or 5 for a pound back when I used to play SF2 Turbo.

3 for a pound is not too bad. Back in 1994 when my local arcade got rid of SF2 Turbo and replaced it with Super Street Fighter Turbo they jacked up the price to 50p a credit which seemed like a lot back then. One of my local arcades was the first in Scotland to get a Virtual Reality machine and they wanted £1 a credit which felt like a stupid amount of money for a game at the time.

It's true, they were some of the most intense games ever played. Were always so evenly matched caused of the pick choice.

We used to run outside and scream "A's against the B's!!!!" We had a fair sized grass pitch at primary, about 5 matches on the go at the one time. Bedlam.

We used to play a game called 'man hunt,' basically cops and robbers except we did it in a fairly big area. We'd have a big 7 v 7 game of football up to 10 on the green and the losers would have to be the chasers, and could easily have been chasing for an hour or two. They were some of the most intense games of football I've every played. :56:

Throwing slates at the orangies, nothing quite opens ye up like an oul Bangor blue.
Jumping out from entries and throwing bricks through the windows of stolen cars.
Throwing an enos bomb at the Brits and watching them all dive for cover.
Asking a footpatrol why there over here being bombed and shot at to protect two Irish cops, you could see them all looking at each and thinking about it, as most Brits didn't want to be here. Oh the friction lol
