The sad thing is he will probably be safer in the middle east than he was in glasgow.

It's easy to miss this ginger nut.

With everything he has been through while wearing our colours and the fact he stood through it all and on top of that was successful in most things here is remarkable.

TBH I miss his approach from the early years of when he took over, some fans didn't like it and of course the media and SFA despised it but it really was the best Celtic had been since the MON days of packed stadiums.

I always said Lennon had it hardest over any other Celtic manager because in a league where there is supposedly no competition and how your average footballer acts nowadays his days must of been spent trying * * hard to motivate his players and that trait will be the biggest miss with any new manager brought in because I felt there would be no other manager that could that to the same/better level then Lennon.

The phrase "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" comes to mind.

    Great post.
What Lennon done in Europe with a bunch of kids was brilliant,in a coaching sense, shame he didn't have the chance to add to that team.

And another thing, watch the videos of the first three Barca games and tell me those kids were not fit,yes they were fit and they also had a hunger in them to succeed that was instilled by their manager

The man is a bona fide legend in my eyes.

There are many criteria for legend status at our club, including but not exclusively, skill, goalscoring, length of service, loyalty.

We have plenty of legends who may not have displayed all of the above, but who still rank among the most fondly remembered.

I will always love the man he was sadly underrated by a few people due to the Huns going extinct and not being any competition he had a really tough job and he done it better than anybody could have packing the stadium playing good football and getting s fighting team was more than gutted he left never wanted him to leave. Would take him back in a. heartbeat * bless Neil Lennon

Getting beat by the odd goal after 3 games against the greatest team on the planet, while fielding a team that had an average age of 21/22,what more can I say.:50:

Could be career suicide, many people have managed abroad in these wee Leagues then came back and done anything?

But also if he was being paid £80k a week and signed a 3 year contract then he'd be set for life so wouldnt be geen a * if he made a * of it.

Wouldn't have been top of his list when he left us.

In fact it wouldn't even have been on the list.

(that's if he had a list, which I doubt.)

He done well wage wise outta Celtic mate so I'm sure he's not short for life already..

Fair * to lenny and wherever he goes i hope he does well, i have listened to him talk about ambition etc and seemingly thats the main factor for leaving us, to then go in to the.middle east wilderness though? Strange and does nothing for his career in England which is ultimately what hes trying to get to..
