I predicted earlier in the thread that they'd do Champion VS Champion, and that they'd take the title off Rey by the time they did it :icon_mrgreen:

I just thought it would take months, not one night haha.

 

Words cannot express how happy I am that Punk came back tonight. I must say, tonight's show was not the most inspiring and I thought it really lacked something. That something, thankfully, appeared at the end of the show and is your new WWE Champion. * Cena, Punk is holding the original title. Therefore, Cena is the "fake" Champion and it's now almost certain these two will face off at SummerSlam, with the winner becoming Undisputed Champion.

On a seperate note, Punk coming out to his old theme song from Ring of Honor was nothing short of amazing. Hope Punk kicks that superhero's * next week.

The worst thing about tonight is that John Cena is now an eleven time WWE Champion and his tenth reign only finished last Sunday. I hope tonight is the start of something different in WWE under Triple H, meaning I hope Punk wins at SummerSlam next month and goes on to have a lengthy title run, instead of Cena hogging the spotlight all the time.

 

I know what your saying buddy, It's just there's no one as of yet to replace cena in the main events.. Punk is now getting the push that will elevate him up to cena's level and if you look around who's going to give him a proper rivalry?

Miz? Maybe down the line just not now.
Alberto del boreo? No never gets a reaction ever, He's been given all the big pushes and still fails to be over.
Rey? Cena just crushed him so no..

We need Batista and Jericho to return to push cena out of the title picture.

One to chase punk for the title and one to keep cena busy till at least the rumble.

-- The Miz, who held the WWE Championship for 160 days, has been named number one in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's "PWI 500″ list for 2011. The list, which is now in its 21st year, ranks the top 500 professional wrestlers in the world.

The official announcement has not yet been made, but PWI's website displays the cover with the news.

The evaluation period for the "PWI 500" is from June 1, 2010, to May 31, 2011.

WWE have really been impressing me lately and I hope they keep it up. I've never been this interested in wrestling in a long time. Oh, and Punk is *.

 

I agree, they are sadly lacking in the main event department right now. Which is why they should do the most logical thing and get rid of the brand split completely, making it one big show again, just like it was before 2002. Then you would have the likes of Orton, Cena, Punk, Miz, Mysterio, Del Rio, Jericho and Batista (when and if they come back) all battling it out for the title. I don't know what would happen to the World Championship on SmackDown. I suppose they'd just need to get rid of it, making the WWE Championship even more prestigious whilst doing so.

This is what would happen if I had control over WWE. I just wish the WWE "brass" were in the same mindset.
