Zlatan Ibrahimovic has all but ruled out a summer switch to Manchester City.

The Sweden international, currently on loan at AC Milan from Barcelona, is expected to leave the Nou Camp on a permanent basis this summer and a possible move to Eastlands has been mooted.

City have the financial clout to afford the 29-year-old superstar and manager Roberto Mancini knows all about his talent having worked with him while in charge at Inter Milan.

But, speaking to Gazzette Dello Sport, Ibrahimovic dashed City's hopes of signing him by insisting he hopes his future lies at AC Milan.

"Will I be staying at Milan? Absolutely," he said. "I believe in the project. Winning the league has been an important step in the right direction.

Was expecting he would have wanted away and to play more games ,it's win win for Man utd really his deal his hardly much he gets bonus on games played .

With Neville gone ,Scholes ,Vds that is massive experience within the dressing room Fergie always likes a mix and it will help the younger players.

Could mean that Welbeck will be given another full season out on loan which will improve him as a player and again help Man utd with him getting more game time and experience within the prem .

Macheda will be the same i think this season he will be out on loan within the prem both and him Welbeck are still young enough .

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Liverpool * off Southampton in jan by just faxing over a offer and this never impressed Southampton , Man Utd and Arsenal had done it the right way with requesting talks with the club .
Looks Arsenal have won the race going by the comments by the players dad .

A lot of people speak to me and say ‘Maybe it’s too soon, look at Theo.’ But for me I think Theo’s doing fantastic, he’s developing as a player, he’s still developing and he’s only young.

On son Alex’s future, he said: “To develop at a place like Arsenal can’t be a bad thing.

“In my eyes, I’d like him to go there as soon as possible, and continue his development.”

Still between Man utd and Arsenal but by that looks like Afc won the race if they can do a deal with Saints .

Asked today if he will be an #avfc player next season, Downing replied: "I'm not sure" and revealed agent advised him not to sign a new deal.

Downing has two years remaining of his current contract but he has reiterated his stance of not wanting to commit to longer at this juncture.
He said: 'My agent had a meeting with the club - just one meeting - and he just felt it was the right time not to sign my contract.
'I've still got two years to go, so I've still got a long time to go, so I just decided to leave it as it is.
'Will I be at Villa next season? I'm not sure.
'I mean, we had the meeting with the club, we expressed our feelings and they said to me they're going to improve the team and the squad.
'So, as far as I know, I'll still be reporting back for pre-season because I've heard nothing.'
Downing maintains he will continue to be totally committed to Villa should he remain even if fans have been upset at his current stance.
He said: 'You hope they do (understand) but normal fans will want you to stay at their club for the rest of your life. If you do leave there's obviously a bit of bitterness there.

Meant to be Lfc bound .

Chelsea have had a £33m offer for Javier Pastore rejected, the Palermo president has claimed.

The 21-year-old winger is one of the most coveted players in Europe with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all understood to be keen on doing a deal for him this summer.

But, speaking on Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, the club's president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that the west London club have firmed up their interest with an offer - which was some way short of their asking price.

Zamparini said: "Chelsea was a club that we had a major offer from.

"But it did not reach the minimum figure that we set for a player of his quality.

"If someone wants to buy Pastore, the price is 50m (£44m).

"There are five or six clubs also interested, including Man City and big clubs from Spain and Italy but so far there has been nothing from them."

The transfer saga has come to an end. Manuel Neuer will announce his transfer to Bayern Munich on Thursday at a press conference ahead of Germany's European Qualifier against Austria. His successor at Schalke will be Frankfurt's Ralf Fährmann.

I'd heard Hamsik to Milan, but I don't think that's happening now. They're looking for a replacement for Pirlo who went to Juve. One name that has been mentioned is Aquilani.

La Liga - Van Nistelrooy to sign for Malaga:celt_2

Van Nistelrooy, 35, was pictured in the city on Wednesday after flying in on a private plane to undergo a medical and sign his deal, which reportedly contains the option for a further year.
Asked by Reuters whether he could confirm a deal had been agreed with Malaga, the Dutch striker said he would be presented to the media on Thursday.
Malaga are poised to sign the striker on a free transfer after he ended his 18-month spell with Bundesliga club Hamburg at the conclusion of the German season.
Van Nistelrooy was targeted by Real Madrid in January as they sought to alleviate an attacking crisis, but was refused permission to return to the Bernabeu.
The former PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United star spent three-and-a-half years with Madrid, scoring an impressive 46 goals in 68 games in La Liga.
Malaga are expected to strengthen considerably this summer after coach Manuel Pellegrini helped the side pull away from relegation danger at the end of last season.

Nice will be great to watch the big red machine again:50::celt_2:plus will be due a few 1st goals over the season betting wise

Manchester City have told Bayern Munich they will have to stump up £17.5m if they want to land defender Jerome Boateng.

The Germany international has struggled to settle at City following his £10.5m move from Hamburg last year having suffered a series of injuries during his first season in the Premier League. And Bayern are keen to take the 22-year-old back to the Bundesliga this summer and have asked City to name their price for the versatile defender.

But the Eastlands club are keen to make a profit on Boateng and, according to reports in Germany,

Bayern have been quoted a huge £17.5m to sign him.The Bundesliga club had initially set aside around only £7m for the German defender but reports insist that the deal could still be on despite this disagreement in price.

FC Copenhagen are leading the chase to sign West Ham defender Lars Jacobsen.

The Danish international looks certain to leave the east London club following their relegation into the Championship.

Jacobsen, 31, was a first-team regular at Upton Park following his move from Blackburn last summer. But he now seems certain to make a return to Denmark and FC Copenhagen are hoping they can win the race to clinch his signature.

Jacobsen said: "I am considering returning home to Denmark. That is a possibility."That is not to say that this will happen. I keep all doors open."[A return to Copenhagen] could be really fun and it could really tempt you. It feels like it is at the top level."

Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios will discover in the next 48 hours if he has secured a £7m move to Napoli.

Palacios has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane following the emergence of Brazilian midfielder Sandro.

The Honduran international has also struggled with knee problems, but he is determined to get his career back on track and Napoli, who have qualified for the Champions League, are keen to strengthen their squad.

Palacios arrived at Tottenham for £12m back in January 2009 and was a star performer at White Hart Lane in his early days at the club but he has failed to produce that same form in the last 12 months.

Reports in Italy suggest Tottenham will give Napoli a decision over his future by the weekend and it is expected that a deal will be finalised.

Palacios said: "The next few days will be key for my future. There are advanced negotiations but I will await news from London."
