Liverpool have turned down a £7m bid from Aston Villa for Craig Bellamy and have told the striker he has a future at Anfield. (Daily Mirror)

As I said I have only seen him a few times and all in big games but in those games he touched the ball about twice in each half. Maybe I need to watch him playing against smaller teams more at Readings level where they are on the ball more. I dont want another player who is all effort and only average technique. We need creativity, killer passes, ball skills etc in the centre of midfield.

As Jamie Redknap said Sidwell is an engine in midfeild and has been a driving force for reading.

Would be a very significant signing imo. With the added bonus of keeping Hartley on the bench.
NOTW a while ago had us offering him£7 mill over 4 years

he said yesterday he wants to spend the rest of his career at spurs, so i can't see him leaving
they wouldn't let him go cheaply either around 8 - 10 million atleast

Don't think its a bad idea to get some games, but I'd rather see him in Sweden for the summer.

Whats this nonsense I got this from SKY SPORTS website, I dont want a * fouler in the team, giving the possession to the other team, look at Sidwells fouls STAT.
Did anyone watch the Spurs / Reading, how did he play???

Don't know it would work but I heard that at the end of Sidwell's contract he can move outside the EPL on a bosman but Reading would command a fee from any English team who want him. This obviously gives Celtic a bit of lee-way to offer a Premiership-style wage. Dunno how true it is though.

Thats a strange way to look at it, anyone with half a brain knows steven sidwell would be the best midfeilder in the spl if he joined us .

    Yes even Bazza Ferushun :84:

Might be strange to you but I understand this game, I dont want a * liability fouler in the team, Booboo Balde was or is one and thank * he doesnt play anymore.
Did you see the Spurs/ Reading game how did Sidwell rate?

No i didnt see the spurs reading game but i have seen reading play several times this season and last and hes been outstanding . Hes been the driving force in their midfield. He can win the ball drive forward with it and also score goals . If you think he will be a liability feel free to suggest another "top quality midfielder" which we are in desperate need of.

Well the STATS say he is I dont need to.
Brown at the moment is all that comes to mind, Strachan has been changing and NOT changing the midfield around, I am suspect getting about Strachan, a team that chops and changes will NOT have consistancy to any degree, and will lack continuity, about the part of not changing I am mainly speaking about Lennon, canny mind but when we beat St Mirren 5-1 was Lennon playing, I dont think so?
