I wouldn't say boring... it's like being in the pub and the lull you get when the drunken nutjob goes for a * and a respectable but slightly awkward low-key conversation breaks out until they get back... :smiley-laughing002:

As for RK's thoughts. Yeah, pretty good analysis. Just sit tight and hopefully it'll all gel together properly over the next couple of weeks and onwards

I hate being the one, but does everyone here really trust him in Europe? I mean, if he * up the CL play-offs again should he still have a job here?

I think even the staunchest of us defenders would have a hard time backing him if we go out again and it's clearly his fault.

It's funny but og is by far the largest poster in the thread followed by \0/, no doubt for different reasons but the point is og, for all his hate, has kept the thread alive when if we had less dramatic dips, as a team (which I think will start going away with the stability we have in terms of the team now), nobody else certainly wouldn't be constantly in talking about the manager, I think like now it would be periodic and if there was genuine news. Og has a massive hard-on for a man he supposedly detests. :smiley-laughing002:

Agreed, I voted the last option in the vote. I really want him to make it happen here as I think he could be a great manager for us, but another CL failure would be disastrous and the only thing that would offset it is if we went on a convincingly good EL to make up for it, maybe even making a semi or something.

We need to hold ourselves to some standard if the Daily Record is going to keep quoting from here

I'm not saying those weren't massive mistakes on Deila's part. I'm just thinking people shouldn't be surprised he's had a few things to learn about European cups - tactically and mentally. Him being an inexperienced manager and all. Other than that, I think he has an exciting team in the making, and generally knows what he's doing. I'd like to think he learned something from the Malmö and Molde games too.

I really think we are gonna go on a fantastic unbeaten run the rest of the season. This run will lure us all into a false sense of belief that we will canter the qualifiers were we will get found out once again unless we sign maybe 3/4 players that could walk into our starting 11.

The problem for me was that away to Ajax he proved he was capable tactically of bringing us forward in Europe. He then reverted to type against Molde home and away. I think he has the capability to be a good manager for us on the European stage. I am just not sure if he will be.

This is my thoughts on the matter as well! I'm all for domestic success but Deila wasn't bought for domestic success and his 14% European win rate shows just how much he has failed.

Bit of doom and gloom when everything is going well haha but I hope he proves me wrong, treble would be a perfect start.

He's not an imexperiemced manager at all mate. He's been a manager for 8 years, managed in over 30 European matches and won leagues in more than one country.

He's young but far from inexperienced.

He underestimated Molde in both games as did Fener and Ajax, mistakes like that he will learn from, Europe is a huge step up and for a young manager still a bit stubborn and naive it just takes time.
If we can hold onto the spine of our team and a few more additions we will do well in Europe under Ronny.
