Deila will have to do a lot to change my mind. My opinion of Deila is like what Daniels said to Burrel, "You'd rather live in * than let the world see you work a shovel."

Now people are asking what the * is that looper on about now, so I will explain.

Deila is here to implement Peter Lawwells vision for the club. Moneyball & doing it on the cheap. I am not against using some of this strategy but it go's against what we really need to do to push on and be a team of real guts and substance. We need pros like Scott Brown. We lack leadership and experience and we are not going to get it with Deila in charge as he reports to Lawwell and would never rock the boat because he knows he is lucky to be here.

Lawwell thinks he is correct but his policy is bad for Celtic Football Club. It is counter productive as we are always in transition and always risking our chances of getting the CL money that we need to grow and sign better players. All this talk about implementing strategies is opium for the people. The way to get better players is to pay for them, buy them develop them whatever but we need to pay for their wages. The wage bill must be expanded by getting the CL money every season. We need to show some ambition and balls and a man like Davie Moyes would be able to say to Lawwell, "this is how it's going to be Mr Suit". Lennon left due to interference and he hired a man to do his bidding. We need a real strong manager in to get us out of this mess.

Timing is perhaps poor, but don't think he's said too much wrong in that we won't know where we are at until the qualifiers. We can't really gauge improvements/ competency against this level of opposition.

Everyone is hopefully on board until then and the positivity is definitely refreshing.

There should always be good healthy argument and counter argument in any debate or topic on the board I think.Deila is arguably a Celtic manager who has polarised the club right down the middle since the Mowbray days, though with the value of hindsight I think Mowbray was marginally better than Deila, especially in man management skills etc.

Last year and this year's failures by Deila, I mean Europe, and Europe is the main sticking point for Deila, have left probably the majority on the forum doubting Deila's credentials to lead us into another Champions League campaign, we simply can't afford to fail again. It is even arguable that even if we win the treble, we still won't know for sure if this guy can cut it.

I suspect these doubts and uncertainties are going to dog Deila right to the end of the season, before the picture becomes clearer.

The treatment of Stokes has left a bad taste in many Celtic supporters mouths, and of course the strong possibility that both Hibs and Rangers will come back up again, makes it all the more important we get this right.

If we stick with Deila and he fails for a third ( fourth ?) time to get us into the Champions League, how will that feel, and won't we find ourselves slap bang in the middle of another crisis ?

Do we really want this ? Are we prepared to take this risk, knowing full well the consequences if he fails again ?

i was at the game, i enjoyed the game, Celtic played really well, i also won a ton on over two goals and 8 corners, i am pleased Ronny got a break, credit deserved to him for excellant performance, i like Ronny as a man and a person, but my opinion remains unchanged, Ronny needs to go cos i fear he aint up to it and will blow it in Europe when the pressure is on!...ps for all the Part Timers..... dont even bother!.......,

I want to know what premise, what confidence, what basis do those who want Deila to have another crack at the Champions League operate on?

Show me that premise. Then I will try and understand your confidence.

Yes like I said then there was a full stop signalling the end of that statement. The "apparently" was a new sentence and was an answer to Venglos's question. It's all in the punctuation sa :50:

    This.

It's impossible to ignore the positives from the past few games no matter what your opinion on RD and company is.

A brilliant result last night and I wish the team could play with that fluency and play sexy football most weeks but unfortunately performances like the last two games have been few and far apart .
In European competitions are where we need the big performances and where we should be judged as they make or break our finances . Unfortunately our European pedigree has declined under Ronny and this is why I hope the board get a new management team in during June so they can take our club to the next level .

I am pleased with the results I think everyone is. I am not going to go around and just ignore the massive concerns we have going into Europe next season. Some people were strutting around as if it was the culmination of some grand master plan and that it was all clicking together and everything was gonna be alright from here on in. We are Celtic we are supposed to destroy teams like Hamilton but my concerns about him still remain even after a couple of good domestic wins.
