How this system would suit his style of play.

    Cheers Crow. :50:

He mentions them scoring 2 from 2, but what he doesn't talk about is how they cut through us like butter every time they attacked. We could have been 3/4-1 down an hour into the game.

With Johansen and Bitton suspended, and possibly Brown and Jozo injured, we might as well not send the team and just get a 3-0 defeat for walkover. The best team I could think of in such conditions had Ambrose, McGregor and Scott Allan starting.

By the way it will be a big test of how much he is a stubborn idiot. He doesn't have the players for 4-2-3-1 and all defensive midfielders are suspended or injured. He HAS to change the system. But he is obviously going to come up with some stupid idea like Armstrong and Rogic playing in that position

Would love him to be back here. Wasn't meant to be I guess :54:

In his defence Tierney is basically one of Ronny's signings. He would have been unproven when he arrived yet he's given him the chance to shine and he looks like an excellent player. That is what is frustrating about Ronny and why I wonder as someone else mentioned does it have a lot to do with his backroom staff not coming with him from Norway? He's obviously good at developing talent, just what we need.

Wow I would love him, Rayo are fighters who play attacking football. We'd never beat Barca though haha.

Thanks for the interview Crow :50: I don't get why he won't give Nesbitt a chance when he sees how good Tierney has performed.

He has improved Bitton, Forrest, Rogic, Tierney...

He can improve players no doubt but he can't send them out there to win a football match.

He should be an assistant manager.

Do you seriously think Forrest has improved under Deila?

I think his best times were under Lennon tbh.

Lenny never won a cup in his last season, did you want him sacked?

Been a supporter of Ronny since he came here, he has great ideas but I am at the point where I think the expectation and job might be too big for him, think he could be a great manager down the line, but not ready for it yet.

I actually don't even know what to say anymore. Walked out of the stadium with absolutely no idea how on earth were going to move on and sort this mess out.

Strømsgodset were terrible at first under him and only started really improving in his third year. Almost got them relegated too at first.

No. Tierney played DESPITE Ronny, and not because of Ronny. We kept playing Izaguirre every single match even when it was clear he was sub standard and/or tired for being the only one in the team without a substitute. In the first matches, early in the season, Mulgrew played in left when he didn't want to play with Izaguirre. Before he also tried Blackett in that position, and he was actually signed to be partially cover to him. Was only when Izaguirre was suspended, Mulgrew injured and Blackett proven to be useless that he was literally forced to play Tierney in an european match. Then Tierney happened to have done very well and what happened next? Izaguirre started the match just after.

He also fails to rotate the squad and give chances to the young players, even in games against diddy teams in the cup. Nesbitt? naw. Henderson had to move out on loan to get playing time and he was more of a ready player than Tierney himself.

I think John Barnes was a crazy experiment but he did have an amazing record before Larsson got injured.

We was lucky not to be 4-1 at half time.

Can be fixed but we need the right person and probably 8ml to sort this mess out.

He got him the fittest he has been in years.

He clearly knows how to improve players, whether that be in their overall play or by managing them sensibly to get them playing regularly.

Lenny had an exciting talent on his hands but there is no doubt he mismanaged him. He kept bringing him back too early from his latest set back and he got injured again.

It's just a pity that he can't set a team up properly to utilise these players he is improving.

Can you honestly say that Lenny wouldn't get much more out of a fully fit James Forrest?
