What are the criteria for the award? Deila is obviously the best manager in Scotland. With all due respect to the other clubs in Scotland, if there were a better manager than Ronny at a Scottish club, he'd be at Celtic and we wouldn't have had to look to Norway. I know that sounds arrogant, but if tomorrow's headline reads "Deila out, Hughes new Celtic boss", then Wednesday's will surely read "Lawwell lynched by angry mob of 40k Celtic fans outside Celtic Park.

That doesn't mean he's manager of the year, of course; but what exactly does make someone manager of the year?

Take a look at the general election...there are Labour people voting Lib Dem and Tory to keep the SNP out.

It's being going since 06/07. WGS won it twice. Walter Smith won it once otherwise it's been given to managers of lesser clubs.

It's always been give to a Scot. Deila was never going to get it.

There was no context in his post. To understand the context, I'd have to have read the posts that came before it, which I made clear from the outset that I didn't.

Imagine starting an argument over what you thought someone else thought what something someone else wrote, meant.

Aberdeen & ICT aren't lesser than Sevco.

 

I think you are confusing this award with the SFWA...this award is the Alba challenge cup of awards.

Mainly because winning the Alba Challenge cup makes you a contender.
