Obviously would require an optimistic view, but on a scale of 1-10, how likely is it that when it's all said and done, Ronny will be revered as much as big Jock?

You don't think it's possible for him to win a European trophy? Ten in a row? Treble?

You're spot on. We looked ok against Salzburg for part of the match because they took their foot off the gas. The first half hour of that game was a complete shambles.

He's been here for less than a season. I just think it's a wee bit early to be comparing him with Jock Stein, one of the greatest managers football has ever seen. Come back to me in about 5 years and ask me then.

Agreed but his ambition is there. There's lots of posters on here saying they think he will win a European trophy here and by the sounds of his latest interviews he wants to stay here for a long time. A treble is obviously possible, maybe even multiple trebles. Ten in a row is a clear possibility if he stays that long. If he does manage to win a European trophy, which is obviously a monumental task, then he will have to be held in the same regard.

Like I said, it requires an optimistic view of the future but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility.

Needs to realise that playing Johansen in a deeper position doesn't work. Means that either Commons or Stokes (or both) start and they slow everything down.

Think it was because Bitton wouldn't be able to last 90 minutes, but would still rather he put Armstrong there than Johansen

the connection between the fans and the manager is great, I think it's something really special, you don't see it too often.

I don't even mean the "ronny roar" thing, just in general, the fans singing his name constantly, and the passion he has for the job- he wants to prove alot of people wrong and he's going to have alot of people looking stupid by the end of the season.

The thing at the end of matches, it's like a ritual, the same when Murray throws his sweat bands into the crowd after a win. I think it's great the way the players and management appreciate the fans like that.

Alot of times last season It felt like everyone was going thru the motions.

A real positivity around the club right now which is great.

Ronny I think has brought a lot of excitement back for me, under Lennon we had the big comeback season and bring the thunder back, great CL run and some brilliant players but the football wasn't anything special, especially domestically and it became a bit stale.
With Ronny you can see his passion (not that Lennon didn't have passion) and the amount of fans that have come back after very bad start to the season, it's a breath of fresh air.
Not slating Lennon in any way, just saying his style of play wasn't anything special, the best we looked under him was probably in the diamond formation last season, had some great games and fast flowing football but never kept it up for 90 minutes.
