Anything can happen mate, but I personally cant see us dropping 10 more points. Especially when we've only lost 3 games in the league this season.

We vastly outspend our competitors and have the best players by far. Is there another player in the whole of Scotland who could start for us? On paper the two best domestic trophy's looks decent but look at it in context, winless in Europe and fighting for our life in the league. Also it is March and there is chance that we will win nothing. The fact that this is a possibility is testament to how bad it is. The biggest metric though for judgement is look at the team inherited compared to the team now. Shocking.

I'll be the first to admit our European exploits haven't been up to par. We managed to get through the group stages last season, but this season we were poor.

It's going to be a transitional period, we knew that when Deila was appointed. Go back to the beginning of the thread when he first arrived. We knew changes were on the cards, and that kind of thing takes time.

He has a number of players who don't buy into his philosophy, that seems pretty clear. And those players will have to be moved on, but that's easier said than done, especially when they're on decent contracts that still have time left on them.

When he first arrived I was happy to give him a few years to make the changes required. In the time he's been here he's won a domestic double, reached a cup semi-final and the last 32 of the Europa League.

If we win the league this season, then for me I'd see him stay another year, especially when I look at the players he's been signing of late. I didn't like his signings last season, but this season? I'm much more impressed and looking forward to seeing what he can do if we can shift some of the older, bigger earners and free up some wage budget.

What I don't see is anyone out there who'd be willing to come here and who'd be worth ripping up the work put in the past few seasons for.

Roy Keane? * that. He knocked us back anyway. And talk of Moyes and Rodgers is * ridiculous.

It's not a wankathon really, as there are plenty of other supports who react the same when under pressure. Chelsea were absolutely shocking this season, yet their fans maintained a solid support of the manager and the players.

Their fall from grace was spectacular, yet the numbers didn't dip and the boos and abuse didn't reign down upon the manager and players like it does at Celtic Park these days.

I don't make it to many games, but the ones I have this season have been quite uncomfortable to be honest. Our support can be * vicious when it wants to be.

Quite honestly? I think a lot of support have been spoiled of late with the O'Neill era.

I get the feeling some would actually gain some pleasure in us not winning the League and Cup.

You seem to have ignored the main part of that post. The one that directly shows why you're talking * Davey.

The double is the LEAST we should be expected to win this season given the playing squad and resources. However even if the double is achieved it has been a shambolic and unconvincing season with too many rank rotten performances from a team who have failed to progress from last year and a clown in charge.

I'm actually seeing myself agreeing with parts of Dave's posts up above - I do think an element of our fans are almost chucking the towel in with terms of their support, but I do understand your point and can see why.

It's been a disgrace of a season. I've no qualms over competition. It makes it exciting, however when we're regularly being beat or put out of competitions by diddy teams, or teams we comfortably outspend. Then it's not good enough.
The football has been horrific to watch on top of that.
Then there's all sorts of reports of unrest in the camp.

We aren't what we used to be, dunno if that's nostalgia but it's been apparent to me since WGS's tenure.

One thing we've never done is award complacency though. If we're doing 100% and just aren't good enough, it's okay, we'll support that. What we won't support is the complacency at the club and arrogance.

And when members of the clubs board come out and start calling the support racist at the latest AGM, well, there won't be a good feeling about the club. That's where we are at.

Contrast that to my example of where we were at in 2010 and the support that was shown then. The board weren't being complacent, we had a young manager willing to learn, we were on an upcurve, we had a chairman that was fighting for Celtic and causing ruptions the halls of the SFA becuase we wouldn't stand for that *. Fans, team, manager, board all as one. We won 1 trophy that season and I've never witnessed anything like it for us.

What's the difference between then and now?

p.s. And that was with most of the fans despising John Reid as a man but loving the job he was doing for us.

About your experience against Motherwell? That's not a debatable point really, is? If you say you personally think the atmosphere was great then fair play, but I wasn't there so I can't agree nor disagree.

If these same supporters have issues with Lawwell and the rest of the board then where's the protests outside Celtic Park?

Surely when they're leaving with 15 to 20 minutes left in a game they could use that spare time to kick up * at the people who actually make the decisions then?

We could beat them, but Celtics Squad is not any better than Malmo`s. Brown, Commons, Griffiths, Armstrong, GMS etc would not be in their starting 11 (or any other top Scandinavian teams) that`s for sure. Overpaid Scottish/British players with lack of ball control is Ronnys main problem and why his philosophy does not work here.

I find it hard to believe you weren't at least watching that game mate but if not, ask around or just think back to the feeling around the club at that time.

There's been a few but it never gathers much traction. The fans don't really matter a * to the club at the moment. It's just the apathy around us at the moment.

Couple hundred of people or so in the car park isn't going to get Dermot's attention is it?

Lets not pretend it's only the board, it's management on the pitch as well. It's all round * and on a downward spiral just now when we are in a position of strength.

Plus, last time we did everything as a support to remove one of the board, we had the national paper labelling us all racists off the back of our own Chairman's comments. The guy is still on the board.

Paints a pretty wee picture that, doesn't it?

I left the Dundee game at about 70 minutes and went to the pub. Why?, because i kept asking myself what the * i'm even doing here, when the players won't even turn up... but there's alot more that's * me off than just the team.

I personally am * sick of it. I'm still dragging myself to games (thats what it feels like) spending money on overpriced tickets charged by overpaid *. Travelling up and down the country to be intimidated and video'd by police scotland, watching a team managed (in my opinion) by a useless * who cannot make a substitution that changes the game. Watching players who I know are the best in the league playing absolutely * * - Gordon, Lustig, Brown, Bitton, Johansen, Armstrong.... I don't know if it's a coincidence that these are all having a bad run, or has Ronny lost the dressing room?

We always put his post match interview on after the game on the way home, and everytime we lose, drop points or play *... He will not admit to us playing bad. And that's what infuriates me most.

I will still always go, while I can... But the whole situation is a * embarrassment in my opinion. We should be streets ahead of the rest for a good few years... Instead we have fans * themselves off a championship side, and we're 1 point clear of aberdeen in the final 10 games. * embarrassing considering.

I don't like seeing managers sacked, but I'll be happy to see the back of him. I've lost my patience.

People can't be serious when they say he deserves another season if he wins the league, surely?

If you had offered any Celtic fan in August a season in which we failed to qualify for the CL, were humped out of the Europa without winning a game and were 1 point above Aberdeen come March - they would quite rightly have told you where to go.

The expectations of some have been lowered so significantly that winning a domestic league that shouldn't even be competitive is now seen as good enough. Embaressing. Still though, at least we're better than Sevco eh?
