Imagine if some on here got their wish? He could win the double, beating Rangers on the way to the cup, and then get sacked.

Let that be a warning sign to whichever manager replaces him. I know I wouldn't go near the * job if I'm honest with our support.

We have the better individuals but they have the better spirit, determination and manager. They're obviously a far better side than they were under McDowall & Sally. Ronny has got almost every one of our players under-performing with half of our players looking like they don't give a * most weeks.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we got beat, Sevco are better than Inverness and we lost to them at Hampden.

    * exactly weed out the losers at the first hurdle so they are too feared to take the job. There is zero reason not to get a manager who will target winning a European trophy within five years.

Worse imagine if others get there wish and we don't win the league and lose to Sevco in the cup.

Also a message to the new manager would be that losing in Europe is acceptable we only judge a manager domestically.

Well, a big reason why it won't happen is the salary the board are offering. You'll not get a manager who has ambition of getting near a European trophy on the wages we're offering.

Talk of Moyes, Rodgers and suchlike is * laughable if we're honest.

Rodgers was on £3.5 million per year with Liverpool. Deila is on somewhere around £300,000. Let that sink in for a minute.

Well I think it's pretty obvious he's a good manager when he's getting promoted with Brentford then getting them into the contention of the Premier League by reaching the playoffs the following season. No point pretending. He's lightyears ahead of Ronny.

Wouldn't worry about that, PL has told us we lost £10m a season without them and with them due back next season I'm sure some of that could be used for a better standard of manager :50:

That right? I heard there's plans to sink that dough into a new super-duper kind of marble for the Celtic Way.

Wouldn't bother me tbh. If he does win every game till the end, the negatives will still vastly outweigh the positives. He's just * it too many times for me, and probably most people.

That's still nowhere near good enough. He's * mainly because of his European results. Papped out of the Champions League 3 times in 2 seasons, zero wins in a European group for the first time ever. It doesn't matter what he does from now on, he's got to go.

Dunphy said it best in relation to Steve Staunton; "Would you let him drive the train to Cork?"

Deila is a significantly better manager than Warburton. It's not even close. The agenda against him is now reaching pathetic levels if this is what CELTIC FANS are starting to claim.

How much is the CL money? 15-25 m a season? We could afford to pay him double that if we wanted to.

We could have afforded to offer a new manager the £1 million that Lenny was on as well, couldn't we? But we didn't.

Keane basically laughed at the offer he was given by the board.

We could offer a manager 15m a season if we wanted to. It depends how you use the European cash. I hate people saying we cant afford this and we cant afford that because it's not true there is no will to offer top contracts. We can afford them whether you think it's wise to spend this is a different story but please stop insulting the intelligence of our supporters by saying we cant afford things when we have easy enough access to 20 odd million CL cash every season.

I never said we can't afford it, I said we won't offer it. It's most likely not going to happen.

If Deila goes (and I'm not sure he will if we secure the league and the cup) I can't see the board suddenly throwing down millions for someone who may take us into Europe.

If we did go for someone of note, paying them £1 million or £1.5 million per season, and invested in the team a bit more, then failed to qualify for Europe, what then?

A manager in the dugout on top wages, players on top wages, all for what? To beat Accies and Thistle?

That's not a risk the board are willing to take by the looks of it.

They seem more willing to hope that someone like Deila gets us into Europe safe in the knowledge that if he doesn't we won't have splashed big money in an attempt to get there.

Call me mental, but the reason I think Deila is still in a job is because he's currently on his way to fulfilling his mandate as manager. Domestic success, and a decent cup run.

Europe is a bonus now, it has to be. We're not treating it as anything other than that.
