Our squad is in the * as it is with performance wise and the amount of effort some give the team, can you imagine the crap if lets say we gave bitton 50-100k a week and the rest were on 10k.

I think that sort of idea would be totally unworkable.

Tom Boyd would be * on coach trip, but then no way Brendan could play right back and left back.

Devlin is not a million miles away. Look I should not need to explain to another fan that having a football man in control of the football side of things is the best for our club. Can you not see how damaging it is to have conditions dictated upon the football side from the board? Picking assistant managers, not offering extensions based on the age of the player, over reliance on the principles of moneyball, not signing players because of their wage while at the same time buying 3 or 4 men on less money but spending egual to or more in the long run, etc. Our club has too much interference from boardroom to dugout and we could be doing so much better. What is wrong with wanting to do things properly?

Are we progressing further in Europe? No.

    Are we strengthening domestically? No.

All signs point to a decline in performance and results. I like the man, he talks a good game and wants to put his own legacy into action. It has not worked so far and 3 years without CL football is dreadful for a club that went years beating the best in our own backyard.

I know we are not going to spend any more than say £3m upfront on anyone but look what can be done with little and a manager who knows how to get what he needs from his team.

Deila is like a rabbit caught in the headlights!...the guy's a coach and a dreamer nothing more.

Let's applaud Jim McIntyre & McInnes as well & cut Ronny some slack. Nah ...didn't think so.

Lets see if they can do anything outside of Scotland first before hailing them as great. Unless of course our only ambition is to be the best in Scotland and being losers in Europe is acceptable.

Unless that one guy was taking them to new heights. Larsson was a good £15k/£20k above everybody else.

No * had a single problem with it because he was Henrik.

Speaking of Henrik, could you imagine if we had him now in his prime? Back then we did all we could to keep him, whilst now the board would be looking to ship him out to the highest bidder pronto.

He'd have spent maybe a few years here, then ended up at Southampton for a season for around £15 million, before a bigger club snatched him for around £30-£40 million probably.

Exactly mate, we would have probably shipped him after his 53 goal season. Earlier if he hadn't broken his leg.

He sounds like a guy that doesn't like losing. Or in other words, a winner.

I wouldn't worry about Roberts TBH - managing expectation is the biggest thing with him just now because a lot of people are expecting massive things from him. In reality we'll more than likely see flashes of brilliance mixed with inconsistency.

That was an astonishingly honest interview, things like that is why I actually like him despite not rating him as a manager.

Think there's far more to being a winner than just not liking losing though.

What, like winning Cups and Leagues in 2 different Countries before the age of 40? :56:

If Roberts can't walk into our line up then what was the point of bringing him..

Is Ronny actually looking for sympathy?

Showing a mentality that you'd do pretty much anything for a win and following through on that. Instilling that steely determination that you win despite things maybe not going your way. Don't think he's displayed that. He has said before he'd rather lose than compromise his philosophy.

Personally, I find myself playing games over and over in my head, feeling gutted after a defeat and wanting to jack it in at times, and that's just * footie.

Can't fathom what it must feel like to have the pressure of the Celtic managerial job over your head. Enjoyed seeing the personal side of the guy there.

Keep praying he can still get it right on the pitch.

He's managing expectation. That's his job.

The definition of a winner is someone who wins things. He has a CV which proves that is what he does. He's been at Celtic for 20 months and it's took him that length of time to lose 2 games in a row. Another sign of a winner.
