Can't do much worse than our current strikers and their form.

Take it Elfsborg aren't keen on keeping him then?

Wasn't looking forward to seeing him back after the Elfsborg game but now I'm looking forward to seeing him play as he can't do much worse than what Pukki has done so far.

He is clearly not good enough if he could not score a barrel load in Sweden after two loan spells he is not going to do it here. :bbpd:

He is seen and played totally different here in Sweden though. Many see him as a attacking central midfielder who plays behind two strikers and that is how he play here, in a shockingly bad Elfsborg side. Not saying he will come good here though!

From what I've read anyway (and the testimony of Henke himself) Bangura is highly rated in Sweden yes?

Got to give the guy another chance.

Yes he is/was, but he has not impressed this season, like the rest of the Elfsborg squad. He missed yesterdays EL game because he had a fight with someone at the training ground :56: In Swedish papers today.

Still, hope he gets a chance to prove himself. It's only fair, he's made 3 starts for Celtic, one of them was against Udinese at CP and he was quite good I thought.

ELFSBORG last night confirmed they wouldn’t be taking up their option to sign Celtic flop Mo Bangura on a permanent basis.

The Sierra Leone striker is on loan at the Swedish club, but has had a miserable time there, despite costing Elfsborg £1 million.

The Swedes had the option to negotiate a deal to make the move permanent, but Bangura will return to Celtic after Elfsborg’s final Europa League game against Standard Liege next week. Chairman Bosse Johansson said: “The loan agreement expires at the end of the year. He has one game left here and then he belongs to Celtic. What Celtic will do with him, I do not know. He may stay there or they might loan him out again.

“Before the season started, we made a special effort to try to reach the group stage of the Champions League and signed him.

“It did not succeed, but it showed the effort we put in. There is no prospect of him returning here next year.”

Bangura is under contract with Celtic until 2015 but netted just six goals in 27 games for Elfsborg after enduring a poor season.

Get some money for him in January and buy a goalscorer!

Let him train, if he merits game time, play him. If he gets some goals sell him.

We have basically got our money back for him, I think it would be interesting to give him one last shot... let him start a league game and see what happens!

He is done at Celtic, absolutely no value whatsoever in attempting to persevere.

I don't actually think Bangura ever really got a fair crack at the whip to be honest. When he played, he was absolutely dreadful, I will say that. However, I see people on the thread about Pukki saying about him lacking confidence, well it could be argued that it was the same with Bangura. In fact, we actually got rid of him when his confidence would have probably been at it's highest. When he scored in the friendly against Steaua, I thought we should have given him a run of games then, so we could see if that would kick start his career. The League was all but over IIRC as well. Cracking header it was as well.
