    That slap was fake as *. Like something straight out of a movie funnily enough. Not an Oscar winning movie mind you.

    I’m calling bullshit on this. Academy needed publicity after 2 years in the wilderness.

    If it wasn’t fake then Smith is a * cause that slap was weak.

    No winners here.

    The 'joke' itself was so desperately * that it probably warranted a slap. And that's with me allowing for Chris Rock not to have known that it was a haircut borne of (relative) necessity (rather than a 'look').

    And Will Smiths reaction was just plain ridiculous. So many ways he could have dealt with it intelligently, but he chose that option!? *! If anyone should have been doing any slapping, it was Jada. I'm sure she's more than capable of doing it herself, and I'm sure she doesn't need a man to do it for her. More embarrassment for her!

    Made for a great bit of trash telly, but must have ruined the awards show for all the other participants.

    So he's made an * of himself in front of the whole world, getting slaughtered from all angles...for what? Publicity? He's one of the most recognisable and popular celebrities in the world.

    He's just made a * of himself and reacted emotionally instead of thinking what he was doing. Just because he never knocked Chris Rock out doesn't mean it wasn't a real slap.

    You can see the emotion on Will Smith’s face when he’s sat back down and shouting. He’s nearly greeting. I know he’s an actor but that’s not fake, that feeling is relatable when you crack in front of a big group and you know you’re making a * of it, but the emotions get the better of you.

    If you watch it in slow mo you can clearly see the use of CGI as Smith's "hand" makes "contact" with Rock's "face".
