Many people seem to dislike Scott Brown now, yet alot of people were praising him last season, at the start of the season he wasnt playing well, the reason for that was he was injured, by no means is he the finished article but he adds a drive to our team that no other midfielder does, with the right coaching he will be great, I believe when hes back TM will get something out of him, he did at hibs and hel do it again but hel get better, ye his passing isnt great at times but when he learns when to pass and when to drive forward he can become an invaluable player, he reminds me of darren fletcher, fletcher isnt anything special but hes good at what he does, his passing wasnt great either hes improved every aspect of his game though, i believe brown is a similar type of player and when he starts producing again, noone will want him to leave, there arent many videos of him on youtube but found this one which sums him up quite well, shows his strentgh and how east it is for him to get the ball off others

It will be hard for him to get back in with crosas and n guemo playing so well , think he could do a job on the wing?
-
-
would be good for him to finally become the 4na giraffe mill player every1 is waiting to see he has drive and is well liked in the team ,but is a bit clumsy on the ball at times.
-
Scott Brown is a good individual but he doesn't mesh well with either Crosas or N'Guemo, who have formed a very good partnership. His positioning is subpar, his passing is very poor, and his finishing is terrible, but he's very visible because he goes on runs (to nowhere) and gets "stuck in" and has a good "work rate". His tackling is also very poor considering his reputation, he gives away an incredible amount of free kicks and he's also a liability with his temper. One benefit is that he's extremely versatile, and his high work rate is useful when putting him on as a sub in the late match, when his poor positioning isn't as much of a liability because the other team is tired.

IF he play consistantly well then there' no reason he can't get back in the team. But consistency seems to be a bit of problem for him.

I honestly feel that some of the criticism/abuse being dished out to Broony is completely over the top and out of order. Some of the ridiculous statements I've heard about Broony include 'get rid of him he's a hun' and 'he doesn't try for Celtic as much as he does for Scotland'. Utter twaddle.
I like Broony and think he's a really good player. Our midfield is working well at the moment but I know Broony has what it takes to get himself back in the team and make a big contribution for us in the future. -
Everyone has their own opinion of Brown. My opinion is he's *.

he played for months whilst not fully fit....which affected his performance.
i would hope a fully fit scott bron would add to the team -
how did u come to this conclusion? -

I think broony is a good player .. when he is on form. he was on form last season and imo he was one of the best players in the team last season, but that was when he was on form, there has been some games hes played in and hardly done anything. but when he gets his head down and works for us he can be a great player for the team. just a matter of waiting to see if he can manage to get back into the first team :50:

I don't think celtic supporters hate or dislike him. only because some people criticise him doesn't doesn't necessarily mean they dislike him too. Don't forget, we all want the best for the club we love. we ain't a Scott Brown FC nor an Aiden McGeady FC, we are Celtic. football is a fast moving business - from hero to zero in 3 secs. that's what players have to deal with - very easy when you consider their wages.
I think anyone has seen how bad our midfield had been playing with him in it and that it looks much much better now. May be it's just ? I let you all to decide.
I already stated it a few times: Scott Brown ain't a (modern) footballer in my eyes. Mind you, I'm not British nor Irish, may be I like to see other attributes too apart from fighting, sliding and running. He can't pass, he can't shoot, he has imo no vision. his technique and first touch is pretty bad compared to champions league niveau. he ain't a playmaker and no box to box midfielder. it's a shame, if we had that in the spl we would destroy teams.
on the other hand he has strenght, energy and never stops running. also I don't think he has the discipline to be a defensive midfielder. what remains?
an old school British player, notConanthe Destroyer, Scott Brown the destroyer. useful whenever we play superior sides (champions league and uefa cup only). we don't really need a destroyer in the spl. to me he is some kind of luxury player (£4.4 mio!!!) - probably the most expensive luxury player ever for us.
Could make a good destroying job for a midtable epl team though. -
I don't give a toss which team he grew up supporting, some of our finest have been rangers fans in younger years! Scott Brown is a good player but I don't think his heart is in playing for us and never has been. I'd like to see us capitalising on him in January.

In all fairness Brown shouldnt have played any games this season until the ankle injury was sorted therefore I think its unfair to judge him, I would give him and Crosas the middle spots considering N'Guemo is away to that african thing in jan and I have always rated Crosas higher than him anyway, Think Crosas and Brown could be the way forward

People rate players and people don't rate players. It's all about opinions.
I'd love nothing more than Brown to produce the type of form that we need for the centre of the park, sadly I don't think he has the ability.
The next poster may think the opposite but that's what opinions are about. -
He has his good points, I will admit, and no one could ever question his desire but desire only takes you so far before you need ability to go with it, something he sadly lacks. We've waited long enough now and have been given every single excuse under the sun about how he will eventually shine, I think we'll be waiting a while longer. -
