Not a chance. I actually can't believe that has been said.

It's your opinion but I just can't grasp it.

The Office UK is one of the greatest comedy TV shows ever made. Extras is also better than the US Office. I'll go as far as saying Hello Ladies is better too. American humor is has nothing on anything Ricky Gervais or Stephan Merchant has created.

The US Office is something I can put on, switch myself off and have a couple of laughs and not watch that episode again. UK Office, Extras and Hello Ladies are shows I could watch over and over again.

It's a completely different kettle of fish, don't go into it thinking it's another version of the US Office. It's a totally different TV show.

I'm obsessed with Ricky and Steve too (mainly due to KP) but I prefer the US Office. It's a matter of opinion really (and comedic taste - they're very different kinds of comedy).

Just started with season 9. Did anyone notice the metal sign with "Celtic fans parking only" on it or something along these lines? Has this something to do with Celtic FC or is it a US thing (it is definitely not the Boston Celtics as the "s" was missing).

the greatest sitcom i have ever watched . If you watch this from the start , in order , it is a masterpiece. The development of characters is excellent , Michael Scott ( carrell ) is so exhausting to watch and you then feel the exhaustion of the people he works with , it just gets cleverer and more funny the better you get to know his character . The jim and pam romance is perfectly built up and sensitive without being gushy , and gives the show a good bit of drama and realism . Dwight Schrute is just hilarious , one of the funniest characters of all time , Creed Bratton and Ryan Howard characters are also very funny. The people that say it is " stupid and american and not as good as the UK " are the people that have only watched the odd episode here and there . Watch it in order , from the start , and you will realise why it has won so many awards . Brilliant .

Just clocked this now, this thread is all that came up when i searched it, it definitely says 'CELTIC FAN PARKING ONLY' and is deliberately focussed on by the camera.

    * knows why, they had Celtic stuff in the Simpsons & i think some Simpsons writers moved to The Office, all i can think of

Loved this show. UK version was far funnier for me, but the US version grew into an altogether better show.

Think both versions are good, although David Brent is definitrly the more cringeworthy between he and Michael Scott. Actually did a rewatch of the US version just recently.

However, anyone who is a fan of the Office should definitely check out Parks and Recreation. Actually think that that is better than the Office once it got into it's stride - so anyone who is gonna check that show out, don't be discouraged by season 1 - it gets soooo much better after that. Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Rob Lowe, and of course Nick Offerman as the iconic carnivore, Ron Swanson, who should have a statue erected to his honour in Glasgow Central. :84:

Just randomly stuck season 6 on the other night. Firing through it now. Forgot how good this show really was, genius comedy.

Spend most of the time laughing at Jim’s facial expressions when Michaels talking :56:
