still devod about yesterday. When wé have a defence that cannot defend simple high balls into the box what chance do we have . Lenny numper one priority should be to get his best back 4 sorted and stick with it because swapipng the centre halfs every week does nobody any good.what kind of understanding can they get by just throwing them in yesterday .Rangers have a settled back 4 unlike us .We have enough to win the league .I am still positive.

Not going to blame Lenny for certain players lack of effort. It is a big ask to come away from Ibrox 4 games on the trot with a result. Regardless of experience.

I love Lenny, but I don't think anybody should be 'cutting their teeth' at a club like Celtic.

    Spot on Minty!

Getting sick of seeing Lennon being bashed at every opportunity. We are in good nick imo just a little less consistant than we should be.

When certain people are not available, his team selections become erratic. And he substitutes players too late, sometimes. I would not sack him, but getting him a mentor would be wise.

The thing is, I feel if we had the choice of Mark Hughes, Gordon Strachan or Martin O'Neill replacing Neil Lennon, I'd take any one of them just like I would have when the board took the cheap option.

The only person from those stated that we have the remotest hope of getting is Strachan, and quite frankly he would not come back. He was not liked by a large section of the Celtic support and he knew that, so why would he come back to that?

We have no hope of getting Hughes or O'Neil .

People are criticising his team selection too much. He did a similar thing at Ibrox at the start of the year and it worked, had we won yesterday we would be praising his tactical masterstroke. The reason we lost yesterday was shocking defending. All 4 goals were easily preventable. That's not Lenny's fault. None of our back 4 had done anything to deserve being dropped. Even Loovens has performed quite well recently. Mark Wilson has been superb recently, Kelvin Wilson looked a great signing and El Kaddouri had an impressive debut. How was Lenny supposed to know they would crash and burn? He has shown signs of being a very competant coach. A little bit more luck and we would have won the treble last year, and that with his life under constant threat. *, more luck and we could have won yesterday, had that Loovens header in the second half gone in it could have been a very different game. I'm still convinced Lenny is the right man for the job, I just hope he learns from the defensive mistakes. Mulgrew-Rogne CB in future, methinks.

I think at half time he should have took off Samaras and put Ledley in the middle. Other than that I didnt think there was much wrong.

This, only Hooper instead. We needed as many tall players as possible.

I can't understand why you'd put someone on a yellow card in to a position where he will be forced to make challenges?
I am definitely not going to come on here saying he needs to go, but my patients are wearing slightly thin, I don't like my club being used as a learning curve for someone who doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes. Occassionally they are pretty obvious ones that half of this forum pick up on but he can't seem to get it.
Another thing I can never get is why we play Motherwell off the park playing some great football one week then completely chop and change the team the following week. The only thing I would probably change from Motherwell is that if Brown has to play in these big games i'd put Ledley in the centre to begin with ahead of Ki, but that's just my opinion. Think Ledley provides a more solid spine and Ki can be very casual at times which is exactly what we don't need in these games.
Anyway, yesterday was a disaster; Lennon got it wrong and the right team won.

I'm sorry, but i'm of the opinion it is the managers fault if a certain part of the team isn't organised properly or good enough. It's down to him to send players on the pitch ready to do a job. Maybe a bit more attention needs to be paid to the defense in training, I don't know, I just think if something isn't good enough then that is down to the management team and the head of the management team, Neil Lennon.

I thought Hooper was our best player in the first half though but Ledley should definetly have come on, I was saying it at the time. If your winning at half-time away in an OF game then your main focus should be on not losing. If Ledley came on in a 4-5-1 we probably wouldnt have conceded a goal. Because you have to expect the losing team needs to come out and win the 2nd half. It happened to us in the first one of last season too.

Most of on here agree Lenny is still learning and will make mistakes, the problem is the poor guy wont get 3 or 4 seasons to come good.We are Celtic and we must have success ona regular basis. The fact that those * have won 3iar puts extra pressure on him to win the league this season.
Th who e fact is if he doesnt win it he will walk or be pushed,we all know that this will happen.
I love the guy to death, but if I'm honest he doesnt seem to be learning fast enough and keeps making the same mistakes eg Sammy, changing winning sides, too late substitutions etc.Idont believe he is being given the right help by his backroom staff especially Mjallby, who was a decent centre half for us.
Surely he must see that is our problem area and must get it sorted .This has not happened. The goals we are conceding are a * joke.
Also at the other end,we were crying out for a big tall striker who can win balls in the air and bully defenders,a player that gives us the long ball option whenever we have to change our game, but who do we sign, a guy at 5' 9" who looks to be a similar tpe of player as Hooper and Stokes.
The only saving grace about yesterdays shambles is that it is early on in the season and we still have time to get our act together, but it must happen fast. After what happened to our manager last season, those players should be jumping through hoops, pardon the pun,for Lenny.
If they cant get their act together then I'm afraid they will cause Lenny his job, which none of us want to see

As soon as i seen that Brown,Samaras & Loovens were back in i thought Lennon you havent got a clue go and manage Albion Rovers. He`s treating the team like an experiment. Clueless,Inept,Predictable.Naive.

Brown was one of our better players. He was certainly better than his much acclaimed partners in Ki and Kayal.

Samaras wasn't the worst either, and as it happens neither was Glenda.
