    Agreed, fantastic strike. Was one of those you're half out your seat ready to celebrate than fall back with hands on your head :smiley-laughing002:

    I think as their backup keeper the Spartak goalie did actually make a few good saves tonight, good performance by the celts

    * ridiculous.

    I genuinely believe we've got a EL winning squad. Just keep the core players together, gain more experience and within the next 3 years I swear to * Celtic will be in the last 4 of Europe again.

    We sold Ki, widely regarded as one of the top young midfielders in Europe who has gone straight into the starting XI of a top half EPL club, and haven't even remotely thought about missing him :56:

    We have a lot of "European class" players, guys who would get a game for good European teams like Ajax, Werder Bremen, Fiorentina etc

    Our worst midfield out the 11 First team midfielders is probably

    McCourt McGeouch Twardzik Ibrahim

    Yet it would rip the pish out any other team in Scotland, technical ability wise it would be fantastic to see them playing together.

    Personally i think we need to get shot of a few of them its doing my head in having to squeeze them all into my team then realising i dont have a proper striker,one defender and sometimes no goalkeeper.Maybe we could lend them to sevco so they get a look at what quality looks like,on second thoughts maybe not.

    Not the worst problem to have,but I dunno either.Ledley should start every game though,he never really seems to do anything wrong.Can't wait for him to get a good run of games.

    Ledley's strike last night was an absolute screamer and he was unlucky to be denied by an excellent fingertip save. Would have been one of the best goals ever scored by a Celtic player in the last few years in Europe.

    Excellent to have Mr Consistency back in the mix.

    Ledley hasn't been showing his class recently. I don't think he's been doing himself justice.

    There was one cracking tackle when United were on the break, some tidy passing and he worked hard enough but he just didn't do enough for me today.

    He's still one of the first names on the team-sheet but he's needing a boot up the * IMO.

    A few players have been like that in the SPL recently. Ledley and matthews aren't doing enough really that their form from last season demands. A bit worrying for me but i have always thought that about ledley, personally i think a bit too conservative.
