@Westlondonscot Sounds like a good deal on the Epi SG and obviously can't go wrong with the Grover hardware.
Gotta say thought I hate the EVH wolfgang I think it's the ugliest thing ever. I can't remember if it's a Licenced by floyd (not a real one) or an actual real one if it's a real one that's very bad I have to say. I much prefer his Frankenstein guitar.

LOL Interesting you talk about the Kramer I went "perusing" round a guitar shop yesterday and in the shop was a
Kramer Pacer Tigerstripe 2016 for £399 really nice, and great condition. However I was on a mission and came away with a Fender Telecaster 72` Custom.

Good that you got the SG back, I find when that kind of thing happends it inspires you to start some serious playing again.
Happy shredding my man....rock on :yeah:

Wolfgang standard was a licenced one. I think I just wanted an evh guitar. The headstock is ugly. The problem with Floyd's too is you need a good one. They are a pain in the * so at least be good. My 84 was white but now red with black and white stripes. The floyd is a OFT 1000. So same metals as a German one but made in Asia. It is pretty good to be honest, holds tune well. Even alot of USA made guitars use them.

I think 400 for a tiger one is decent, I'd rather have the white one myself. I find Arctic white a glam metal colour.
Modern kramer guitars are decent, essentially Epis. Some * on them but I think that's mainly a tank thing, the amount that get angry when you suggest that good guitars are made outside of USA is mental.

Had an interesting convo with some guys in work earlier this week about headstocks - would the way a headstock looks ultimately decide whether you buy the guitar, or not? Pretty much the consensus in here was yes.

I bought one despite it being ugly but I was deciding between a Kramer 84 and a Kramer Baretta and the headstock was a major part. They were the same material, same pick up except one straight one slanted so it can change things.

@carraigbhoy What kinda dosh did you pay for that mate ? must have been quite expensive as that colour is quite rare. I had a black & white one from the 80's.

Hi, Im not sure how many were released in this colour, but its one of a special batch that were produced in 2008 with the noiseless pick ups and not the lace sensor pick ups of earlier models, Its USA of course.

It wasn't cheap, I will pm you later. Its my lifetime guitar and heirloom !! I imported it from Germany (via the south of Ireland to avoid taxes and half the P+P costs)
Its absolutely immaculate, like brand new, still has the stickers on and all the case candy is still in polythene wrapping,

They do sometimes make Mexican artists, which are often still high end (as a Mexican can be).
Was curious about pups as they usually had lace ones but obviously didn't look like them.
Fair play to you for coming across the guitar you wanted. Guitars like that gain value rather than drop especially when with case candy and immaculate.
Not sure what my dream guitar would be, probably a Music Yo Kramer 84.

nah, will do next time.but I'm around the West End weekly but today had to get to a meeting so just a quick stop.
You had Murphy lab guitars, an Adam Jones Gibson 1 of 80. Some of these were absolutely beautiful. The Epi artist range was stunning too.

If you want a custom you can pick the exact piece of wood there, it's sent to Nashville to become your guitar.

I don't think they expect to sell many, essentially a showroom and people will then go and buy online cheaper. Unless it's exclusive.

They'd had a showroom there for years but only accessible to clients and artists.

Yep, very nice Casino, a john lennon guitar, look for the footage of the beatles on the roof of abbey road studios, specifically "Don't let me down" where he plays his Casino. Not as nice as your one though IMHO :)
