I wil have to hold my hands up and admit that he played amazing today.

he was one of my favourite players and I never stopped liking him, I just felt that his time was passed and that there was better defenders available. i was obv wrong.

In the longer term yes I don't think he is the answer but wouldn't you rather see Bobo than Pressley or Caldwell at CH?

From an SPL point of view I think he is reliable enough but too often caught out in big games.

Ridiculous comment considering the performance Bobo put in today. First clean sheet away from home in 35 games, McManus looking more comfortable, overall decent defensive performance, you obviously have some sort of personal gripe with Balde which blinkered your views on him today.

At celtic the fans favourite CB is always the one who doesnt play and it doesnt last long when they return. He did play great today though. I will reserve judgement till next week.

I thought Big Bobo was smashing today. I was never his number 1 fan but I will support anyone who pulls on the hoops. All this sniping about players and managers is getting tiresome. Why don't we try something new and support the team. Quite frankly were starting to sound like huns.

I liked his play today and hopefully this will give the team a bit more confidence going forward. The next games will be huge and the bhoys need to get a good killer instinct going into the next games.

Its actually a wee bit of praise for deciding to try a different approach. Still theres folk moaning ie Ham&Jam. But in fairness after a long time out Bobo still looks in shape and fit and looks as if he's been workin in training, otherwise he wouldn't have been as sharp. Credit for that and the fact he's not been sitting about and just collecting his big wage, which I'm sure many folk thought.

It's an admission that our manager has made a few mistakes (as all managers do).

But fair play to him. He doesn't seem the type who likes to change his mind, but he did it. And it worked,

He has to go with whatever works, thats as plain as you can put it. Every other CB has had a go at partnering Mick so why not Bobo. Whoever gets the job done deserves his place so Bobo's a defo for the Gretna game. See how he does there and get him ready for the huns.

That's also my take on it..

Balde had a celebration with Mcmanus and Naylor at the final whistle so it shows there's a good camaraderie there.
Good to see him back anyway and let's hope he justifies his wages untill he leaves the club..

Glad to see Bobo made such an impact. As I said before the game, I hope the Bobo haters will be proved wrong and they were. Great to see those who doubted him being man or woman enough to give him praise. Except for Ham & Jam who has just called for a JCB to get his head dug out of his *. :icon_mrgreen:

Its good to see that most people are finaly calling for Balde to be back in the team however if I was him I would tell WGS to * Off.

People have short and selected memories when it comes to Bobo and I count WGS in that. When WGS first came to the Club I am sure everyone can remember his first european result a 5-0 defeat. Imiediatly after that he droped Bobo and made him the scape goat but we were still conceding goals 4 at Motherwell our defense was a shambles. Then he brought Bobo back and the defense tightend up and he was an ever present in the team till we won the title.People got annoyed as in January of that season Balde was acused of trying to work his ticket as his contract was up in the summer if you were made the scape goat can you blame him and also he was linked to Bayern Munich not Dunfermilne. Cant blame him for looking elsewere.

However his move didnt happen and he re-signed.

Beginning of last season again Bobo didnt start the season and again we looked shaky then he brought him into the team and we started to look solid again. However he did his stomach muscles and was out for 8 weeks. He came back from the cold against Man U and yes he had a bad game but dont forget we still won the game. Then he broke his leg and hasnt been seen again. Also the league was over at Xmas last season and thankfuly we didnt need him.

Again this season no bobo = a shaky defense.

For the people who slate him they point out seville, Lyon and Man U all these games are at the highest level of football not inverness,St Mirren and Hearts. Lyon was the last minutes of the game and our backs were to the wall and the ref didt need to give the penalty he was unlucky. Seville was again towards the end of the game in extra time and yes he was rash and shouldt of made the tackle but it wasnt just him to blame look at Rab Douglas and his performance. And as for Man Utd ffs its Man Utd and he had´t kicked a ball or 8 weeks and we still one the game.

So now Bobo is to be the teams a WGS saviour again maybe. However if it was me I would tell Strachen were to go.<!-- / message --><!-- edit note -->

This is a post I did for an earlier thread. I am Glad to see Bobo back and its a shame he is of to the african nations. However He is a better man than most profesionals in the game as alot of players would have told WGS to * OFF as he has been overlooked for far to long and why should he be 100% commited to save the managers skin. WELL DONE BIG MAN AND GOOD LUCK TO U.
