The General Europa League Discussion Thread

i hope the club have some ideas on how to get fans to turn up on thursday nights...

we have over 40k season book holders but will be lucky to see gates that high..and this weekends game will be interesting to see how many fans turn up.

The draw will need to be kind to us if we want to progress but a kind draw will probably mean teams with no crowd pulling power. Big clubs which excite our fans will reduce our chances of getting through ..

and we now have 5 sunday fixtures which wont help us or the teams we play in regards getting bums on seats. kind of * deal all round but the players put us where we are so if people cant be arsed getting up early on Sunday mornings then the players can get used to playing in front of less people in quiter atmospheres

 

When does this new terracing being installed ? That will help but the ticket package has to be reasonable to draw bigger potential for the European games now on Thursday night!

 

We are going to get our * ripped by even the likes of Skenderbeu with a defence made of Boyata and Ambrose.

Give us Leiga, Ajax and Vienna. We'd be lucky to leave there with any away fans nevermind goals

Ajax could be in danger, down to 10 men and only up 1-0 on agg.

I'm really excited for the draw tomorrow. Hope we have a tricky group. Would like to avoid the English though. I hate spurs and couldn't be doing if we lost to them as I live in London. Southampton are just us from a few years ago. We all know how good we were a few years ago.

 

I like the Europa League. It's clearly miles off the Champions League but I still enjoy it.

Easiest group possible please. I'd like to get through and I think a couple of the better teams could give this squad a bit of a hiding.

 

Dortmund would be amazing. What time is the draw the mora?

Jablonec, Young Boys and Rabotnicki out.

 

hope we get a decent draw, the fans should treat the EL like we did the UEFA cup, with a good draw we could go quite far but it'll be the same as always 30k at group stage and gloryhunters if we draw a big team in the knockout rounds. we should be getting behind the team in big numbers for the europa and see just how far we can get. and hopefully the club dont overprice the tickets

Hopefully get Dortmund that would attract a big crowd.

Then a couple of beatable teams,want us to make the knockouts again.

Considering the showings from our team in europe of late pumping any team, diddy or not, is far from a certainty.
