    He got hyped up and over rated and Liverpool bought into the hype and wasted money. Hes a really poor player, slow, weak, poor in the air, no positional sense etc

    Even when he played for the Dead he barely had a good game but was praised and "learning" from Davie Weir :56:

    The 0-0(I think) game at Celtic Park when Fortune had the goal disallowed, ive never seen a bigger demolishing of a defence as we did that day, fucknos how we never scored we could have had 4/5.

    When he plays for the Scotland under 21s too, he is always outplayed by Hanlon from Hibs who is basically the exact same style of player but bigger, quicker, stronger, better on the ball etc

    Similar to Fleck.

    The Huns never produced a quality player since Ferguson and there is no quality in sight in Sevcos Youth teams any time soon either. Ness is the best footballer they had in their youth team in 15 years but hes injury prone.

    Just wondering with the amount of young lads Liverpool are giving a chance too. Even when he went on loan at Blackpool I don't remember him getting a game regularly.

    Last time I actually remember seeing him was when he came on for Scotland against the Czech Republic and gave away that pen.

    Yeh the 1-1 game mate, McDonald scored late on and McElbows equalized. Could have got a bus through the defence that day, Sammy just missed a number of chances.

    I watched the Spurs and the Liverpool game, I realise it isn't a priority competition but I would fancy my chances strongly against all 4 teams I seen.

    They all seem to have 1 or 2 genuine quality players i.e. Di Natale, Suarez and Bale and the rest very over rated.

    At Blackpool he got a game at the start but fell out the team and never made the bench for about 6/7 games so they sent him back to Liverpool.

    I seen him playing in a few under 19 games against us and never even thought he looked good before he broke through. Toshney for us was just was good.

    At the moment he wouldnt make a young Liverpool defence, theyd probably pick

    Flanagan Wisdom Coates Robinson

    He'll probably end up on loan in the Championship/SPL/League 1 then sold/released.

    Actually forgot about Kelly. He's at best their 6th choice young defender.

    to be fair, Udinese are better than Liverpool at the moment. Liverpool played better, but same old problems for 'pool haunt them.

    I used to play football with him (grew up in same area) he was pretty good, but nothing special, I recall playing better than him regularly.

    No idea how he ended up at liverpool, I was happy for him obviously but I am no suprised he hasn't lived up to the hype

    Tottenham just drew 1-1 away to Maribor there, Inter Milan beat Partizan 1-0, Rapid Vienna got beat 4-0 at home by Leverkusen, Helsingborgs lost 2-1 against Hannover at home, Lyon beat Bilbao 2-1 and Videoton beat Basel 2-1.

    Hope Samuel Eto'o can score a few v. Liverpool, game kicks off in about 5 minutes or so.
