The captaincy

I meant we're in depression mode over how our personal favourites have been performing..

The player's should be far thicker skinned if it's them that's depressed..

 

There are things with Brown that annoy me. He seems a bit petulant at times and doesn't always backup his bravado with performance. That being said, he's the current captain and I think the squad look up to him, or at least there's no doubt he has a voice in the dressing room. He has also been a driving force for us at times which shouldn't be forgotten.
Whoever our new manager is, he needs to galvanise the squad. Dropping Brown would be a risky move. Instead they need to work together, the new man learning from Brown's experience with the current team, getting a shared vision. I'm not sure Brown has ever truly embodied Deila's philosophy like he did Lennon's. Think Brown still has something to give. Like I said, not his biggest fan (his slack passing drives me mental), but on balance he's still the best man for the job.
I would however promote big Eric to VC. Even in a short time as part of a flailing team and seemingly still short of a bit of fitness, Sviatchenko has been outstanding, a balance of classy consideration with 'will run through brick walls for the team' -ness.
I think between the two guys we balance a bit of dirtiness with a bit of maturity, bravery with iron. I definitely see Eric as future captain but he needs time to build to this position in the squad.

Yeah let's give the captaincy to a boy who's only played 20 odd games. Great idea that.

The man who should be the captain is the captain. No need for change.

 

There are seriously people who want a 19 year old player as a captain? Rather have Tierney focus on his football alone atm.

Its up the captain to lead by example. Its his job to lift and inspire the players around him when heads are dropping. Brown hasn't done that ONCE this season. He used to be a master at it. In fact, he's been one of our weakest players this year.

He needs stripped of the armband to let him know that he needs to get the finger out.

 

Holy *, 57% have voted for a player who has only played a handful of games over Scott brown . the lunatics have taken over the asylum .

 

Suggesting we strip Scott Brown as captain because of a few months poor form is absolutely ridiculous.

 

Brown should remain captain, but Erik should be promoted to vice-captain.

 

If Broony can't rouse himself for a game against Hertz then he needs a break from the armband at least. Here's hoping he improves today! They all owe us a good performance.
