Catterall won the fight 100%, but * me he wasn't this easy peasy winner here.

He done the basics right, scored, had a knockdown.... but it wasn't the miscarriage of justice I'm hearing. , tbh if it wasn't for the two fat helmets fighting for the Scottish heavyweight fight earlier I'd have put this down as horrendously *.

If there's a rematch I can't watch as I'm trimming my sack with a broken bottle

It was a * fight aye but definitely a miscarriage of justice. I thought at worst Catteral might get shafted with a draw but this was a * mile out. Not one person so far has gave Taylor this fight apart from himself and his corner.

Totally agree, hence my first comment....but Catterall won modestly not handsomely. Every jab was greeted like a Clubber Lang uppercut during the commentary.

I know you're a boxing man too, I've watched it again....a lot of tight rounds when both were scrappy with just one or two stand out scoring hits

Catterall seems a good lad, I hope he gets another championship fight soon.

I'm not a massive fight fan but of those I've seen over the years this was by far the most scandalous result. Catterall won by a country mile and as soon as the 1st scorecard was given as 113-112 I knew something fishy was going on.

Wow that was wild and clearly the decision didn’t go the correct way , obviously wanted Taylor to win followed him from the beginning but when a man’s not up to it he ain’t up to it easily beaten last night shows you how money has corrupted the sport and has done for some years. Taylor was 1/16 to win genuinely a fix , * tbh.

Catteral won it with consummate ease, it was a shocker of a decision.

He wins most exchanges at a distance, I really don't see why he feels the need to clinch all the time.

Yeah the amount of grabbing is horrendous, cieslak is doing some amount of punching after thebref is breaking them up.

Can’t remember this uproar with the several robberies I’ve seen English fighters come away with.

Upon reflection, Taylor lost the fight. But a lot of reason for the ‘robbery’ sentiment is that Catterall was given no chance by anyone prior to the fight. Journalists, Ex fighters, promoters, fans. Therefore, any marginal rounds are subconsciously given to him by everyone watching, as it’s a shock that Taylor isn’t steamrollering him.

After watching it back there’s a lot of close rounds with literally nothing in them. Catterall was never the aggressor at any point, and tried to protect his ‘lead’ in the last four rounds.

To beat the Champion you need to come and take his belts. Catterall didn’t do that. I thought he won the fight marginally but it’s not a robbery.

Lewis Ritson v Miguel Vasquez, and Campbell Hatton v Whoever the * it was, recently, was ten times worse.

Yet there were no inquests then.

To beat the champion you need to come and take the belts is one of the biggest myths in boxing, there is no rule of that ilk - the fight isn’t scored any differently from any non-title fight and nor should it be.

Catteral won more rounds therefore won the fight. Easily as well.
