He fought Martin Gethin, thought the judges had the score closer than it should have been imo.

Watched a "meet Derry Matthews" special on Boxnation before the fight and it showed him at Celtic Park were he has a brick with his name on it and YNWA.

That's it mate, seen it talked about on ringside last week, I think..

Think he trains a lot in scotland and some of his team are scottish, pretty sure on that one..

Always in a good fight derry, got a good support in liverpool because of the fights he's in..

Aye he trains with Stephen Simmonds and a couple more Scottish boxers.

You going to the next Burns fight?, I think his opponent has been hand picked for an easy night (probably rightly with recent form) but its the undercard that will be great imo.

Limmond v Woodhouse and Simmonds v Camacho.

    Should be a cracker.

That's right mate, stephen simmons and the old boy and big * that are in boths corners usually..

I won't be going but I'll definitely be watching, been looking forward to the simmons/camacho fight ever since it was made, hopefully there isn't a second call off and simmons pummels him..

Limmond/woodhouse should be exactly what it says on the tin, a good stand up battle..

Yeah, to put ricky in again after how tough his last 3 fights have been with another of the calibre, would be soul destroying.. Ricky needs one or two for a confidence boost and maybe even a domestic dust up with someone like crolla down the line, which would be a big domestic fight.. He's a class above anyone over here though but he needs what we would call easier fights to get him back up to speed, another demoralising defeat and performance might be the end for ricky..

    Let's hope not!

I'm actually hoping for a Groves win :icon_mrgreen: but cannae see him catching out Froch in the early rounds like he did last time, Froch will be ready for him this time, unfortunately.

Groves at 11/8 is a superb price. Money will be on him for this. Not too bothered about who actually wins though as long as it's a good scrap like the first one.

    No chance.

Sell you house/car/kidney/family and put it all on Groves.
