we on the other hand DO have CL money... and we also need new blood... but unlike rangers we don't seem to want to improve on our weak points

Why should I withold my opinion of Celtic because I am a staff member on here? Am I being paid by celtic? noo am i being paid at all? noo. I am entitled to an opinion just as much as you.



Well yesterday wouldn't have happened if we signed a leftback would it? Wilson cost us 2 goals being a RIGHTBACK playing leftback. So that point is moot. What if? What if? What if Celtic was bought by those people who bought Man City today?

 

How can you compare this board to the Kellys, a board that took our club to the brink of going out of business, that bled the club dry?

We all know that we need a left back and ideally the board would stump up the dough to improve the squad but you are taking it a bit far with that assertion.

 

Yeah mate nice answer it is not to much to ask but i would be nice if we could go and spend 8m on one player a season

 

if you are happy with the way this board is doing buisness with our club right now

then you agree that we don't need a LB there is no problem there, and our team is now Ready to face the rest of the year! no worries!

Bear as always a well thought out an formulated post You raise some interesting points. Surely though what you are suggesting could be described as being lied too.

If Celtic's transfer activities are reliant to what happens across the city then that also brings into question integrity. We were told/spun the line that we were going to strengthen the first team with quality, names like Pavlychenko and Bent were banded around (no denial from Celtic) other names followed (still no denial) this to me is lying or not being straight.

If we are truly affected by the comings and goings from across the city, then that is shameful and no way to run a club IMO.

I totally agree with you that people have bought into the mindset of settling for players who are (in the main) mediocre. It is truly amazing how some folk will convince themselves that everything is fine and dandy when it so clearly is not. To me this is a dangerous way to think as complacency is this kind of mindset that our Club is now displaying. They know the fans will be faithful no matter what and they are taking full advantage of that mindset

Hammer you just cant see through all the smoke and mirrors. You love Celtic as we all do but in your mind to be a true fan is to be positive at all times.

If we went out tonight and bought St Mirren's first 11 and played them every week, you would find a way to make them the best thing since sliced bread.

It's a commendable stand point and one that I admire but for me one that allows Celtic to get away with murder.

Your right mate we all pretty much knew, but we all had faith that Lawwell and co would deliver on their promises. They haven't and that failure has left an uneasy feeling.
