Big tug of war, no one wants to be out of pocket.

 

At this point what are they reviewing do they not watch the games and need to wait for sportscene every week ?

He should have been out the door long before this 'review' was even announced

This must be the worst season of this century quite comfortably?

Were any of the 90s seasons finished by January (or earlier depending on your prerogative)?

 

Can we have a review in to the board as well

Wonder how the review is going.

 

We need an entire culture change around the club. Lawwell and co have been trying to run an SPL club with an EPL model, keeping us going by just using our financial muscle. Might work domestically for a while but the fact is we haven't been moving forward properly for a while. If we want to progress we need to look at how clubs in Europe with similar transfer clout manage and learn from them. Sadly the current board only know one way of running a club and it's failing just now.

I would say the problem is they haven’t used our financial muscle- not effectively anyway.
EPL clubs spend big and sack managers if they lose a couple of games. I would argue that we seem to be doing the exact opposite of that.
Agree with the rest though.

 

Even if they were, the situation isn't comparable in any shape or form. We should be light years ahead of them after all the CL money and large transfer fees we've received in the past 9 years but gross mismanagement at boardroom level has allowed us to drop to their level and now it has took us even lower.

You wonder if the nutters that think we don't want to be too far away from them are actually correct. How else do you explain this season ? How else can you excuse the fact the guys in charge have sat and watched us go downhill faster than the Jamaican bobsleigh team ? Why have they not acted, even now ? What are they hoping to achieve ? We could finish 30+ points behind a team that we are superior to, or should be, both on and off the field. If plebs like us could see this happening as far back as November, how have guys like PL and DD not have ?

 

They've been taking us for granted and as mugs for a long time now, this will never be forgotten. They are going to fall on their sword, same as the Kelly-White era.

 

It's much worse considering our dominance and financial strength..

Add in the fact that our rival's died and a new mob have risen from nowhere and battered us this season..

It's a * up of epic proportions..

Another year where they've gone further in Europe as well..

 

Lawwell and Bankier must go and the management team with them.

They had a choice months ago to save the season when we all knew it was going to *. They chose at that point to back Lennon which to be fair was their perogative. It has gone so spectacularly wrong since then that they have to be held accountable for their decision making.

PL has also cost us millions every year by delaying signings to the last minute to get a "good deal" on players. It has meant that we have went into every Champions League campaign light on quality and depth of squad. It has been criminal and again he should be made to go for this blatant idiocy.

Obviously once the board has been cleansed of the CEO and Chairman, then the management team has to go too. This season has been a disaster and there can be no denying that under Lennon we have regressed badly on the park. This is one of those moments like we had under Mowbray, Dalglish, Barnes, etc, when everyone knows that change is coming but it all happens too slow. It's like a car crash just now.

With a new manager, new Chairman, CEO and Director of Football, I can see the glory days return quickly. Next season will be a big rebuild, but we can get started on it now.

What's the point then?
I know the lad can only tell us what he knows, but if they (the board) don't have a set date/window for the review, and loosely speaking the are okay with it being after the transfer window, then what's the * point in the review of Lennon's performances?

What they going to do first tweek in Feb? Sack the * when we are mathematically out the league race and no window for any new manager to utilise?
No replacement would come in to that with still so much dead rubber games to play.
Basically telling us the * is here to the end of season.

Which we know is worst case anyway, but would he the only logic otherwise
